Im Addicted to Games

OK.. i just bought a PlayStation 1 again(sold the old one some time ago) and i need some advice on the old old classics that is a must have.

i can think of :

Metal Gear Solid
Metal Gear Solid : The VR Missions
Crash Bandicoot 1,2,3
Croc 1,2
Spyro The Dragon 1,2,3
Final Fantasy 7,8,9
Xenogears
Tekken 1,2,3

If you have any advice on what games i should look into, the help would be very apriciated

MGS for PS1 forever.

I don't know how much you are into FF games, but I'd definitely recommend FF Anthology and Origins. I'd say Chronicles as well but I haven't got that yet.

Final Fantasy Chronicles. It's the best of the three FF compilation discs for PS1.

Anthology is just a direct port of V and VI, but V is regarded by many purists as the best 2D FF...so it may have the best game of all on it.

Origins...you have to really like FF to like Origins. The FMVs are nice, though.

Chronicles just rules. The "true" English version of IV, with uncut dialogue and all items/spells from the Japanese version. Then Chrono Trigger, in a "Its-not-50-dollars-for-cart-only" option. Nice anime cut scenes, nice bonuses.

MGS for PS1 forever.

I suppose I'd be a purist because FF VI would not be in my top 5 squaresoft games. FFT gets all the credit and yet it started with FF V.

Get Megaman Legends 1 and 2 and then do a Speed Run for it. lol. Smiley

My never ending crusade for a legends speed run.

Mega Man to anything but NES, SNES and Game Boy Advance isn't worth getting ('cept for MMAC, but that counts as "Mega Man to NES"). The series kinda died after MM6. I will not judge MMX4 to X8 yet, though, but I've heard X7 is kinda meh. X4 to X6 I'll judge when MMXAC appears, and X8... I suppose I'll get it sometime when I find it cheap. Same with X7.

Legends doesn't appeal to me. It's just... no.

The original Game Boy Mega Man games were nothing but worse versions of the NES games. Except for number five, but it's still mediocre at best. Mega Man Xtreme 1&2 is crap.

The GBA games, though, are really nice. The Zero games are great, and Battle Network far exceeded my expectations. I still hate the Navi design, but I don't find much to complain about when it comes to gameplay. I thought the battles would me more RPGish. I stand very corrected.

Are you guys serious? Your forgetting one classic ps1 game.....Mortal Kombat Trilogy. That is the only ps1 game i still keep around. A must buy.

I love YaBB 1G - SP1!

I'd go with:

1) Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3
2) Silent Hill
3) Parasite Eve 1 and 2 (1 more than 2).
