We're comparing to Persona 3. The difference is still a matter of hours.
I'm actually seriously thinking of trying the portable version. I haven't experimented with the Tartarus boss skip yet, but if it's as hard as is being said you'd have to save it for the really luck based BS battles like Sleeping Table or World Balance. If you get caught you could just triangle til you die and reload.
There'd be a lot of routing to do too. And then there's the question of, is the male or female route faster? I know for sure that the female route has the advantage of getting the Lovers S. Link at the start among other advantages, at the cost of some other links getting pushed back.
