From the videos I've seen about Wii, I'm not buying it.  I, for one don't feel like standing up and flailing my arms around like an idiot to play video games.  I like to sit down.  I'm buying a PS3 though.

Amazingly, the Wiimote is not used for all games.  There is more to the controller than just the baton.

Yeah, it's much better to sit down and concentrate on the game, rather than having to flail your arms around. Even still, theres always games like Smash Bros Brawl and TP, and more I'm sure, where you can just use the GC controller to play, or that controller "shell"(not sure about TP). Plus, I've always stuck by Nintendo, so I'm willing to give it a shot. Though I have to say, some of the launch games aren't too enticing.

That's probably why.  I'm more of a Playstation gamer.

Wait, I thought the big thing that PS3 lacked right now that hurt it was a sick lineup Huh?
Or were you reffering to the 1st part of the post? Personally, Im not gonna preorder simply because Im lazy, and I know that for like $50 id rather just wait and get an extra game.

Lol.  I won't be getting a new game system for a year or two.  I never got a PS2 until the price went lower.  It's not really because of a money issue, it's because I want to wait until there's lots of good games out and all the bugs have been sorted out in the system (PS2 had so much bugs.  There's like 5 different versions).
Glitching EB 1 flying man at a time
TP cannot be played on the Wii with a GC controller because TP will be released on the Gamecube as well as the Wii. At least that's what I remember reading a ways back on this topic.
Stand: Devil's Call in your Heart
i'm getting both TP versions.
controls being so different being the reason.

also, the controller doesn't require extreme movement to use. the demostrations overexaggerate it too much. IGN editors say that wrist motions are enough to play the games.

I think you need to get up-to-date on things, bud.

You will NEVER use a GC controller for a Wii game period. This myth had been wizzing around for quite some time, and it settled. I never thought people still thought that you can use the GC controller for Wii games. I don't know where you heard this, but when you think about it... Why would Nintendo bring a dead last-gen system onto the new-gen system? And I only see 1 & 2 buttons... No X's and Y's on the Wiimote.

And if people want to stay  up-to-date on the Wii with TRUE facts, then go to my resources. (I've been going to these 3 sites for over half a year, and they're VERY reliable.)

Maybe that will help?

Here's a new Deku Tree trick, I strongly argue this is not a boundary violation,  you're still in the same physical environent and don't cross any empty space.

SSBB will be able to use the Wii controler for a few added gimiks but SSBB will be able to use the GC controler.  So they are bringing a dead contoler to the Wii.  if the Wii contoler was forced for SSBB i know alot of poeple will be unhappy.  particularly any one who has compeeted at an MLG event.  so that has opened the gate for the GC controler to be used for Wii games.  but TP since there is a GC version if yuo want use a controler play teh GC version if yuo want a Wii controler play the Wii version.

so using teh GC controler for games that are not suited for the Wii controler is highly probable.

There are so many things wrong with that post that my head just might explode.

Nice trick, AKA. Might want to check with Radix to make sure it's not a boundary violation.
Speed is the key.
It's a cool trick AKA, but I'm pretty sure Radix wont allow it. You might wanna ask him though.

Lol, I meant using GC controller for GC games and SSBB.

AKA, that was incredible, I hope to god Radix allows it.

Very nice. However, by my timing when I did this trick, it took me 30 seconds from when I land in the water to when I get to the boss antechamber which is only a less than 5 second improvment on the previous method. Nice find, though.
Speed is the key.
It's also easier than the other method, I hope to god that Radix allows it.

You must've done it very slow.  Realistically, after you would do the jumpslash from the web, what you would do is you would hold forward, so as to grab the vine, instead of doing a second jumpslash.  Once on the vine, you would find the spot where you have to fall from and drop from there.  Then, while in the water, you would dive down instead of doing what AKA did and when you pop up from under the water you would fall down into the place where the Deku Scrubs are.  Saves way more than five seconds when done properly.
I haven't really tried it extensivly but I don't think you can do what you said about both things if I understand you correctly. When you fall down to break the web and you land near the edge, the web doesn't break. When you do break the web, you have to be closer to the centre so you won't have enough forward momentum to grab onto the vine. Again, I haven't tried to do it this way but I say this cannot be done with 80% confidence. About falling into the deku scrubs are, you need to go through the load point at the second web otherwise the room below won't be properly loaded. I personally find the old method to be easier than this one. If you have tried it, you will realise that this is a very precise trick so if you are slightly off in any direction, it won't work. That's just me though.
He's back!
This is probally the best method for reaching the basement once the vine glitch has been performed. I also have a suspicion that sideways swimming is faster than normal swimming.

Trust me, I wouldn't say something without first trying it.  You're the one who needs to try it before saying "it doesn't work".

Edit: Besides, AKA's way is faster anyways.

Now, to find a way to glitch through the web on the top floor without having to jump from the top floor, that would save about 20 seconds. I'm confident that if this trick was fully optimized it would save about 30 seconds, I'll admit if I'm do it in a speed run I would still do the usual richchet off the vine and then climb up the vine the way I did in the vid and then get boosted, which is still way faster that what the old method would be. In a TAS, I would expect Link to break the web and then use his forward momentum that he gained from breaking the web to optimally grab the vine where the skulltula is and then clip the water and then cut back into the water when falling into the void and swim sideway and eventually fall into the deku basement and by the time Link has reached the basement. The old method would have probally just about perform the first sidestep onto the wall skulltula, so I would estimate the time saved is the time it takes to perform the skulltula hover and then fall into the basement via the web.
