Just call me the cynicism machine
It's fine as is, but we carry the burden of having to warn everyone of our devilry.  Any time we let a WIP slip through without giving it a metric fuckton of disclaimers and warnings and "THIS IS NOT A SPEEDRUN" written all over it, we catch flak.

We should all just get really steaming mad at Dacicus for forgetting to add a disclaimer.  Boy, that Dacicus is going to get a whoopin'.
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
If anyone thinks that's a legit run with those inventory screens, they've got problems.

I've been working on the rupee part.  So far, it's just something goes a bit wrong each time, so I'll try more tonight.

I'll be gone all Memorial Weekend, so I'll resume Tuesday after today.

Just for your interest, here's an .avi of the TAS wip up to the point where he gets the Silver Gauntlets (wip made by GuanoBowl, .avi made by Dacius).

I recommend you to view it in VLC media player.

Just remember that this is a TOOL-ASSISTED SPEEDRUN, for more info, visit http://tasvideos.org/WhyAndHow.html

Could someone upload that to Filefront? Megaupload really sucks.

I have to disagree.  The fact that Megaupload constantly stops during the download (if it starts at all) makes me think it isn't that great.

Don't forget about all those porno ads and popups that come up on Megaupload and the inability to start and finish a download on the first try. Just face the fact that Filefront is better, faster, safer, more accessible, and more convenient.

Eh, updates will have to wait till next week.  I'll have more segments up then.

Later.

In case anyone wanted to watch the TAS run, I mirrored it here:

NOTE: THIS IS NOT A REAL SPEEDRUN. IT IS TOOL-ASSISTED.

I'll download the TAS video tonight and watch it.  I may or may not have Segment 2 up after seeing this TAS clip and seeing if it is feasible for me to do what is done in the clip.

So I'm resuming work on this run after the weekend break I took.

Speed is the key.
I've made an .avi of the Jabu-Jabu part of the TAS, I might upload it if you're interested...

The time for the TAS rupee route (starting when you gain control in Links hut, ending when you hold the Deku Shield over your head) is ~2:04, and he didn't even backflip over the fences. But still... it's tool assisted, so I doubt it is possible to beat by a human player.

So... I take it that you've recorded a sucessful second segment? I hope you'll decide to upload it. Any vids would be nice. Wink

Besides the Bombchu Bowling (luck manipulation), what is wrong with this route that can't be done by a human?

No, I have not done a successfuly segment 2 yet.

Good luck with it, then. Smiley

I'd love to see it, as would many others, I'd presume.

Watched the TAS.  Besides all the damn diagonal walking, pretty awesome.

No segment 2 tonight.  I got like 2:11 in the time frame AKA was speaking of.  But I keep messing up something...I'll get it eventually.  This is probably one the harder segments because of all the damn timing and precision moving.
Speed is the key.
I'll have the Jabu-Jabu part of the TAS up today (thursday).
Everybody loves Hypnotoad!
I can't seem to watch the TAS .avi.  Neither DivX nor Windows Media Player will play it.

Yeah, I used VLC to watch it.
It plays in all my media players >.<

Guess you just have to have the codecs installed.

The sound was a little behind, though...

It isn't in my Jabu-Jabu vid, at least not in VLC.
