Yes, a cucco riding the ground.
In case anyone is wondering, I'm over halfway through the huge topic in my quest to catalog all the videos.

EDIT: I now have a .txt file with the URL's of a ton of videos and other stuff from the topic. I plan on sorting through all of it and categorizing it.

Thank you very much.
Yes, a cucco riding the ground.
No problem. I actually wanted to do this weeks ago, but was too lazy. Now that we have a new topic, though, more organization is necessary.
Everybody loves Hypnotoad!
More comments about the route

1) it might be faster to savewarp between 4 and 5 on segment 4

2) does the time saved having arrows in the Shadow temple really outweigh the time it takes to get FW?  It seems like it could just be skipped.

If it were skipped, I would suppose that the route should do Jabu Jabu before Dodongo's and ride the owl back to Kakariko to plant the bean and get the extra chus.

Oh, and I think I just figured out why the route had you getting bombs: the Forest temple ground jumps.  So, does the saved time in the forest temple and the well outweigh the extra time in Dodongo's?

ugh, too much "does the time saved here make up for the time lost there"
Finally something's getting done. Hehe, can't wait to see your segments, this run will rock for sure Smiley
Yes, a cucco riding the ground.
I just finished raiding everyone's YouTube pages and putting all the videos in a .txt, so now I'm going to merge the two and organize them. Not today, though.
... oO;
Forgive me if I am wrong, but you really should use the Cucco Dive to get the extra bombchus. It doesn't take long, and it is really easy to do.

Also, how do you get bombchus so early? I admit I haven't played this game enough recently, but aren't all of the bombchu locations either closed or blocked off for a while?

Spirit Temple early.  After you get the first key and you get to the room with the 2 Lizalfos and the sun face on the ground, there's a switch you hit with your slingshot and it makes a chest fall down.  In it is 10 Bombchus.

exactly, from what I saw w/ the stuff in forest, I was wondering whether it was faster or not... can we do mega jump to green poe room w/ bombchu? etc.?
Speed is the key.

You can do it with long-glide. I'm pretty sure that works with bombchus, too.

Did some warm ups...will try segment 2 this week.

Best of luck to you TSA I hope you can do great run Wink

You can't mega jump to green poe ledge but you can hover boost to it.  It takes very precise timing though, as you're on a very small ledge.

What purpose would this bring anyways?

How can someone like him cannot do a great run? Roll Eyes

Well, I guess he could not make a great run by not trying.

Then it would just be pretty decent  Wink

What, you're not gonna upload Segment 1? (You know I'm kidding)

Actually, I can upload segment 1...see if my text progression is fast enough for your liking.

Yeah, that would be nice. I'm very good at skimming through dialouges fast. The best is if you can end a text-box before the blue arrow/box even appear. I can do this almost all the time by just mashing A/B. It's not that hard with practice. Wink
Bulletproof Kneecap
As long as you can keep a steady rythym of pressing A/B, skimming through text isn't actually all that hard.

Can't wait to see how this is going to turn out, though. I mean, I thought your Sub-5 run was great all in it's own, but then I read that it might be possible for Sub-3? That's just nuts.
Lol, I'm sure your first segment is just fine  Roll Eyes

I think the run will be better off by you spending the time that you would spend uploading segment one on practicing segment two. Besides...we can all just download segment one and critisize your horrible text skimming. Yeah, that way, nobody will even watch the rest of your run  Roll Eyes

Oh man...I can see it now...that kind of thing could only happen from the same people that are all up in arms about having a short file name. Lol...Good luck with segment two (or are you on 3 by now? I wasn't looking at times on posts)

Part I

I didn't use a short name, but I didn't use TSA either.

Also - I spent two hours trying some attempted shortcut bugs - even though I know everyone has tried to get past Mido, the Kokiri and onto the bridge from the Lost Woods...

I was THIS CLOSE to making it onto that damn tree stump, which I could then reach the bridge.  Ugh, just another little bit of height and I'd have it.

So, I was reviewing rupee routes...
I forget what you all had as the fastest, but I had some ideas:

- Immediately side hop to side ledge.
- Go across bridge (jump gap to save time)
- Get Blue Rupee (5)
- Jump down
- Back flip to last fence, get 1 Green Rupee, 1 Blue Rupee (11)
- Backflip in front of hole, it's faster, trust me, to do it now (12)
- Get Two Green Rupees and Blue Rupee on way to Kokiri Sword (19)
- Exit outside
- Get Four Green Rupees from two bushes (23)
- Get Blue Rupee from sign (28)
- Get 2 Green Rupees from grass near stream (30)
- Get 1 Blue Rupee from crossing the platforms (35)
- Get 1 Blue Rupee from behind the clerk in store (40)

Why such the long intro?

Good thing the name input isn't timed in console runs.

Sentimental value.  Besides, you can SKIP part I since it has no gameplay...
I'm the keeper of Time.
Best of luck with the rest of the run. I can't wait.
welcome to the machine
The intro is one of the greatest moments of gaming...

Have fun with this, TSA.
