If you can get FW w/ no bombs, hammer, or gauntlets, then you can do an SS w/ early spirit.

I have tried some stuff too and I think it's very possible but how much time we can save if we get FW before DC?

You don't need get bombchus from spirit if someone can find a way to bombchus from bottom of the well without bombs or you can get 5 bombchus from gerudo training ground as a child and it's need to kill one beamos but how you can kill it without bombs. there are three ways and one must work or not Smiley

He's back!
During a speed run a couple weeks ago I was fast enough to reach Kakariko before nightfall once I got the magic meter and so the cuccos were still there to perform the cucco dive, I never did it but I know I should have.

Here's how you can do Ganon glitch without a sword

EDIT:

Hey I found this, I doubt its useful but its certainly very weird and I'm fairly certain that he didn't use GS since the map doesn't  disappear and reappear.

Yes, a cucco riding the ground.

Well, if we do end up going to the Gerudo Training Ground as a kid, I found an easier way than Kazooie's. Instead of walking into that big rock from the top, you can walk alongside it until you are about to fall off the edge, then sidehop. I can't make a video of it, though.

This glitch has been around for over seven years. =/

What's this about getting into the FW cave without bombs? You would still need the Magic Meter or else you wouldn't be able to get it.

You do know what the master glitch is...right?

So, I am getting a new job, and for the rest of the month, I get to work from home.  So I will have a lot of time to work on this run soon, so I should be able to knock out Young Link by month's end.
Yes, a cucco riding the ground.
That's good news. I wish you the best of luck with your run.

Heh, it's funny - you will never guess who I work for now...

Yeah, well... I know who fierce works for...  8)

But yeah AKA, I was actually thinking about that trick a while back and was thinking about doing epona in strange places to get her in Desert colossus (not how that works I've found) and then use that to get into the warp, then reexit and grab mirror shield... too bad  Cry

He's back!
I tried the superslide into the Minuet cutscene while holding L+R and I also let go of L+R during in the middle of it as well. The game froze the first time and Shiek walked right through link and hit him right in the face with a nut second time round but the nut was thrown twice so the cutscene was extended, I wonder if doing this during cutscenes would be benicial or at least still moving during navi texts. I know from previous experience that if a guard catches you in mid air in Gerdudo and you fall into an entrance i.e jumping from the cell in the Fortress and then jumping into the nearest entrance you can still progress as normal

Hey wait!

Can't you get on top of that little arch in Ganon's Castle's outside place? (Where the lava is.) Because if you can... Couldn't you do that super slide technique to get to his castle early? (Like, 5 temples early.) And if you do the crooked cartridge glitch with young link and get him to the Shadow Temple... You wouldn't have to beat ANY of the temples! Cheesy

Yeah, but Ganondorf needs light arrows. :|
Ewic Juice
How do you get up onto that arch anyways?

-Oh, and perhaps you could... Beat Ganondorf some way without light arrows? (I know Ganon's possible to beat him without the light arrows.)

Hmmm...

You can almost make it from the white brick structure:

If you could somehow get in a backflip at the end I think you could reach the ledge. I reached it in that vid, I just needed a bit more height.

I'm pretty sure you can't grab the ledge or backflip onto it, because I'm fairly certain I did that and disproved it using infinte hover months ago.

A backflip does definately give enough height, but not enough length. It's a no go. Sad

This is how close I can come to an easy ganon early... how about you?

Aim for a diagonal. Then you can get all the way up to the corner... from that point we can do that and roll off the sides and you can get really close w/ a jumpslash... or you can try to boost w/ a bombchu but you have to be good at switching your directions because the directional stick and your movement becomes inverted at that point...  Huh? Maybe if we can get one that has that stored ground jump which happens every now and again, we could hover swap directions and groundjump quickly to grab that high ledge... or go off the edge and then do a groundjump bombchu boost. If we could pull that off there's no doubt in my mind whether we would get up or not.

So, if we do grab it... are we gonna grab bombs and FW and then get golden gauntlets and use FW in the inner tower and skip the silver gauntlets and that cutscene?

Kazooie - yeah, I tried that a few days ago but it was really inconsistant for me since I was going to the side of it. I got it but it looked alot harder  Tongue since I had to hover and slide down then reverse link and then jumpslash and have it land me on that spot... Crap, your's looks way easier, props.

I've tried and its very hard to say whether it possible or not, but I know that the ledge can be grabbed. You should make a vid showing how close you can get to it. The cutscene lasts for 30 seconds so the whole Ganon Early thing would need to be done within 40 seconds to make it worthwhile. Even though this would probally have no use I've proved all along that it was possible to do it even thought the three stages are ridiculously hard. I'm yet to do Ganon ealry on a console. Has anyone been able to do Ganon Early on a console without cheats?.

Couldn't a superslide be used from top of the seam that leads to Double Heart Fairy?

I'll have a go just now.

Indeed, however that is why 2 or 3 pages back I asked for a mupen savestate around there with bombs and bombchus and nayrus since vdub is acting retarded and my fraps freezes but only w/ pj64 >_<... and none of my mupen saves are near there, so yeah.

your better off trying a super slide off the part that we usually do bomb jumps and stuff from.

Super slide off the other one gets really close....

I think I may have figured it out... maybe I'll have to see when I get home from work... it could be pretty easy though.
Dodongo's Cavern still poses a big problem for any Silver Gauntlets or Goron's Bracelet skip.

I think your problem is... You were standing waaay too far from the VERY EDGE of the white brick arch. If you went closer to the edge (to the lava) then maybe you would have succeeded? And maybe if you did a backflip as well? Wink
