The six barriers you don't need to worry about, that's the reason why we don't need megaton hammer, gold gauntlets, or longshot at all. We skip it using the ganon's tower skip. The only thing that we can't do is hurt ganon w/out light arrows...
The only barrier I see to a SUB 2 run is doing the armos glitch without the hammer but then again how can you defeat the Iron knuckles without a sword since the hammer would take about about ten mins to get.
EDIT: I haven't been able to get to the mirror shield from the rock structure because I keep sliding off the giant statue.
I also tried the slide from the SG to to Mirror Shield and but I can't make although its difficult to backflip during it on a keyboard, but there was one time where I thought I done it but I went right through a wall and into the void.
EDIT 2: Has anyone successfully pulled of Ganon early on a console without cheats :-[
I don't understand...what's a "ground stable?" Do you mean crouch-stabbing (R+B)? If so, he gets up after some 5-6 stabs with the Master Sword. He doesn't stay down forever.
Sorry about that I mean crouch-stabbing :-[ I think it's very easy and I gonna use it in my run

You can get trought of the wall with super slide if you place armor corretly
BTW - I have discoverd very funny thing if you use that super slide with nayru's love and keep holding R button and then go to some place where cutscenes start and keep holding R button when those scenes are playing link doesn't move and those scenes look really cool sometime when those scenes end link will freeze

Yeah, I did something like that, I used the Nayru's Love slide to go in between two guards at Hyrule Castle, they blew their whistle and the message popped up, yet I kept sliding, and when I let go of R, the game was frozen.
Hey, you klnow that slippery slope? You can super slide up it... I'm gonna see if you can get up top w/out crossing that gap... that would be much much easier....
If you can get out into a backflip soon enough it might be possible. I can get all the way to the top seam part where they join but I can't get a backflip to not travel forwards.
Edit: I think it may be possible... if you superslide up to the farthest point where it comes together and then let go of shield... it boosts you in the air, and then I think you need to do the bombchu damage boost backwards in the air. That should do it.
Or, hoverboots make you stop for like 3 seconds and then slide down... if we can squeeze in a backflip before he locks up or something... or get one w/ a ground jump at the end and then do that from the hover off the side.

If you mean that ganon's castle slope I said it some time ago but anyone doesn't noticed it :-/ I have tested it too but when you get top of it there is wall and link don't have enought height to grab that ledge. Meaby you have better luck than me

I did try it a few days ago without success, Link can grab the ledge but he's facing the wrong way and the bombchu doesn't affect him because he travelling too fast. All Nintendo games seem to have wrong physics for when you jump on a moving object since the character you play always stays at the same place instead of moving with the object.
Can this super slide be used to get back through the door between the Haunted Wasteland and the Gerudo Fortress?
This is how I discovered it a long time ago and no it doesn't work. I never brought it up because I knew the future runners wouldn't be willing to use it run because of the diversion needed for it.
As for doing the Armos glitch in Ganon's Castle without a sword, isn't there a way you can jumpslash with A? Or somehow use an explosive to boost yourself through the wall after making the acute angle?
TSA, what are your tips for Dampe's race? What's your fastest time on a first racethrough (without the Hookshot)?
The TAS guy did that and got 49 seconds on the race. If TSA managed 36" (somehow beating everyone else by 6"), I'd think there's room for improvement, right? The longshot doesn't save 13 seconds in the last room...

You should post things like this. Maybe you couldn't get it to work, but someone else could. Just keeping all your tricks to yourself won't help the run, so it's good to share everything you find, whether it seems useful or not.

I just want to confirm that I'm following correctly. Even with the sliding trick, it's still faster to go to Child Spirit and get the Bombchu/Gauntlets and then get Bombs when you travel through time, as opposed to skipping Child Spirit completely, getting bombs normally, and doing the skip to the Mirror Shield when you get to Spirit as an adult, right? I'm assuming that the former is still the better option because the latter requires Saria's Song/Goron Bracelet and you won't have the Requiem as a warp even though it skips all the time spent in Child Spirit (and Requiem) plus Bombchu Bowling (haven't even thought about beans here).

Good question:
Child Spirit route has this: -Get Ocarina from Saria -Trek to Gerudo -Gerudo fence Skip -Glitch into Desert -Desert w/lens -Trek to Spirit door -Requiem Cutscene -The whole freaking temple -Nabooru gets [glb]sand-raped[/glb] -Deathwarp to Link's house -Goto Goron City via Lost Woods warp -Blow up Dodongos -Complete Dodongo's w/out bombs (pretty fast) -Hyrule Market (short trek) -Zelda Cutscene/Hyrule
Non Child Spirit -Get Ocarina from Saria -Get Bombchus from well not doing this -Saria's song (long since we don't have bombs to skip the maze) -Deathwarp? Or can we take Zora River warp, (we need gold scale, then we get bottle and do the gold scale glitch, and this happens in both routes, so there really is no time lost, unless we walk across hyrule field too many times)? -Hyrule Market (long trek) -Zelda Cutscene/Hyrule Castle (same in both runs) -Death Mountain letter access (skipped in previous route) -Goron City -Darunia is [glb]HOT, What a Beat![/glb] -Blow up Dodongos -Complete Dodongos while getting Bombs...

Works for me. Try again later, I guess.

Yes, I still believe that getting Bombchus/SG from Child Spirit is faster.
You also want Bombchus to do the Bigocto/tentacle skip in Jabu, and light the eyes in the Dodongo's Cavern without having to climb to the second floor. Bombchus are generally faster than bombs because you can release them from far away.
In regards to skipping ganondorf, how does skipping the iron knuckles in spirit work, exactly? I was trying to replicate this in the Ganondorf room and glitch through some of the bars, but I'm starting to think that there's something in spirit that allows this that doesn't work in Ganon's castle.
Use levitation, there are multiple doors that it works on in spirit. Some doors are weakly joined at the top, allowing you to get through them in a similar manner as that jumpslash into the wall in spirit in the floorrazor room.
We need a concerted effort at FW no bombs. That is one of the only major things we can find in this game besides light arrow skip...
We know we have an underground passage, 2 boulders closely spaced and halfway into the wall, a visible seam to the right, water in the entire level (if we can get behind any of the walls...), etc. this sounds like we have a lot more than we do in gerudo valley. If there is any way to make this a single segment endeavor then I think it is to be found in Zora's Fountain. Heck... we even have 2 boulders... and a tektite... we can even do super slides w/ those. and those crazy backflips, and also... I'm pretty sure I remember using levitation and falling into the wall through the boulder once, though it took alot of tries (w/ levitation), which means a boosted backflip may be able to get us in... and we also have a hole that if we can fall through and grab, will let us pull ourselves up into the cave. So I think that technically we have alot more to work with than 1 fence that has potential acute angles, and... that's about it. Your thoughts?
Here's what I got so far: if you can get into the water behind the wall... you can get into that underground passage by sidestrafing and timing a jumpslash. from there...bleh I'm not even sure... basically though, the water doesn't go behind the cave so I'm pretty sure that if there is a way it isn't utilizing the secret passage, nor the water.
