I don't know if it's already in this 450 page clusterfuck of a thread but any chance of a posting of your 100% route? ZSR is lazy and hasn't posted an up to date one (they might've removed an old 100% route but I am not sure)

thanks. the link you sent me is another 100 % run, isnt it? it looks like the same =)
Speedrunner
Finished a 1:20 SS attempt, not submitting because it was on Jap version
Stand: Devil's Call in your Heart
looks like your progress is good so far.
what version will you use for when you submit?
Speedrunner
The US version.

Also, I started a NMS/MST segmented speedrun.

Segment 2
Segment 3

Don't expect segment 4 until after my Single Segment is done.
Shoryuken Shall Punish!
Since I am relatively new to running this game (so far just doing it casually), I am stunned to find that the Cucco Jump isn't as hard as many say, yesterday I got it on my SECOND TRY! Cheesy I consider that good, considering the first attempt was just a failed attempt at jumping not a slip off the bridge problem.

And also I put myself on the side of the RBA argument in the against crowd. I think that glitch kills the game, and that's sad considering it is one of my two favourite games ever (the other being DKC 2). Boo RBA!
Stand: Devil's Call in your Heart
RBA does get boring after a while. i don't play like that anymore.
the latest run i did through the game was a no-bottle run. it was quite fun. next time i feel like playing OoT, i'll give MST a try since the only times i beat all dungeons normally now are 100% runs.
Speedrunner
I hate RBA since it is way more fun to get the items legit. I always want to do no-RBA races. Too bad i am already committed to the rba SS run. =[
umad
Honestly, I think RBA makes the game more interesting. Glitching the crap out of a game to beat it quickly is what speedrunning is all about, and for those who want to see more of the game done there's always the NMS category (which I think is probably more important than ever now that we have RBA and can skip every dungeon).
For those who don't know, a Japanese guy just made a sub 1 hour OoT TAS: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9240&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

There's only a bad quality nicovideo so far, but someone will probably post a better avi or youtube link later.
And it seems like that run could be greatly improved too... hell...

Skip Kokiri altogether, no sword needed
Run straight to Hyrule
Door-glitch
Arrow-to-B to get the Light arrow
Bomb-hop into Ganon's castle
Skip his barrier
One arrow to subdue Ganon/Two arrows if you're not fast enough
Finish up as normal
Quote from Andre Corbin:
And it seems like that run could be greatly improved too... hell...

Skip Kokiri altogether, no sword needed <-- ...what? You need the sword to Door of Time skip. And the only way to escape without a sword is to get Deku Stick or Deku Nuts, the latter gives you a long cutscene.
Run straight to Hyrule
Door-glitch
Arrow-to-B to get the Light arrow <-- This requires Forest Medallion, since otherwise you can't travel back in time. Furthmore, you would need to RBA Song of Time in order to get back through the Door of Time, which you glitched through.
Bomb-hop into Ganon's castle <-- Light Arrows on B = No ISG...furthermore, you have no explosives according to this route.
Skip his barrier <-- Needs explosives or Hookshot if you have Light Arrow B, neither of which you have
One arrow to subdue Ganon/Two arrows if you're not fast enough <-- What arrows? You never got any arrows. You'ld need to either get the bow from the Forest Temple or get a bottle and RBA one arrow or quiver. Furthermore, you never collected magic, which is necesary to use Light Arrows. And to get magic, you need Bottle/Ocarina and Zelda's Lullaby.
Finish up as normal

Now, the route of that TAS can be improved, but it is nothing as major as this. The only significant change besides swapping around things in the child route is skipping Hookshot altogether, and that doesn't even save two minutes (and is probably unfeasable on console, unless we find someone ultra, ultra dedicated.
Yeah, I admit I hadn't realized a few things, and when I remarked that someone else on the run, it was brought to my attention. I apologize if that seemed odd.

not to sound like a prick, but there's no such thing as "more faster"...just saying... Undecided
Catchin' them all
I lolled at part 95.

But damn, that seems like an incredible difficult SS, I wonder when it'll get done. =)
Speedrunner
Not to brag but I am already good at most of the parts in the run... I did my first test run the other day when we weren't sure if the Adult part would work (it didn't) and I still got a time of 1:26 with mistakes. Cheesy
Is anyone working on a non-RBA SS?
Stand: Devil's Call in your Heart
i don't think anyone is doing that atm. the category isn't valid for SDA so there's no incentive for anyone to make that kind of run.
as far as non-rba SS goes, you could count the No Major Skips category, which is what ZFG is working on right now.
Stand: Devil's Call in your Heart
hm yeah, that works in this case since MST was defined as a category for SDA (i'm still in the camp that thinks "no major skips" sounds odd since you skip lots of stuff within dungeons either way)
i was thinking along the lines of the fastest route non-RBA.
Speedrunner
Finished Any% SS in sub 1:17ish.

Before I send it to SDA I am going to upload it elsewhere and let the other Zelda people watch it to make sure it is good enough. I am pretty sure it is good enough because I don't remember many mistakes.
