Does anyone have a link to page where I can read up on this BA, RBA, megaflipping, etc. nonsense! (It's been a looooooong time since I've played.)

Nope, you can't get items through RBA. You can get them through BA however.

Zelda Rulez!

I watched that Groobos's demostration run again and writed that route down. So I don't need routes anymore. So now what I will do is to look for shortcuts with amulator and with action replay if we can get something work. If not then i will start run. I will practise now anyway. I really like to see that scarecrow skip working. Smiley

Does anybody know who did this route for OoT what Groobo used in his demostration run? And is there any big improvents for it? That route really good anyway.

1. Well you can trick the door to make it teleport you back to the beginning of the race, but you still have to race him again
2. Tested it and yes it works

I'm not your buddy, guay!

The biggest timesaver (besides possibly skipping scarecrow's song) would be finding a solid way to escape the forest quickly. As far as I know, it hasn't even been done with only 2 nuts (3 total counting the megaflip) on a console yet, either clipping through or with the angled backflips.

Yeah, that's what I mean. Just race him twice in a row and get both the Hookshot and Heart Piece. It would save time if it worked. I just want to be sure it works.

I have almost finished the rough draft of the adult section. It's looking pretty good. There are only a few changes from Yauty's route such as skipping revisiting DC.

Hmm. It doesn't look like you got it with a backflip from a bomb hover. I think you did it with some sort of ground jump.

Okay, after these questions have been answered, I will have the route completely done.

1) Can you get the Heart Piece from Dampe immediately after getting the Hookshot?

2) Can you skip the guy that makes you play Saria's Song to make him move in the Lost Woods from the other side?

3) Does the Owl appear in the Lost Woods after getting Saria's Song even though you've become an adult already?

For question 2 you can by simply going to the side of the entry, then get the hookshot out change it to 3rd person view and look up this makes it easier to backflip over the Korkri without having to go backwards & press A at the right moment.

1) yes, but I'm not 100% sure
2) possible. I was only able to do it with a superslide not with a backflip. maybe a backflip also works
3) no idea. I have no save file with a completed Forest temple so I can't test it

Hmm. It doesn't look like you got it with a backflip from a bomb hover. I think you did it with some sort of ground jump.

Bomb hovering and backflip should also work. The only problem is, that it requieres very much luck.

Segment 61: Drop off Poes. Empty Bottle#4. Superslide to Kakariko Village. Nocturne of Shadow. Biggest Quiver, HP32 in skulltula house, GS89 on roof, HP33 on roof, HP34 in house, Nocturne of Shadow. enter Shadow Temple.

Segment 62: Shadow Temple. GS90-GS94. Heart Container, Shadow Medallion. After returning to Graveyard, longshot the box for HP35.

Segment 63: play Requiem of Spirt. Superslide to GS95 on tree. get on bean plant. HP36. SB to silver gauntlet chest. (Skip SG) Set FW in first room. Get GS96.

Segment 64: Skip silver block get GS97 and small key.

Segment 65:  Use FW. Superslide to Mirror Shield ledge for Mirror Shield. Set FW in anubis room. Navigate ST until Boss Key. Use FW. Kill anubises, get GS98. ST SB. Fight Iron Knuckle and Twinrova. Heart Container, Spirit Medallion.

Segment 66: Requiem of Spirit. Superslide to Nayru's Love. Get GS99 along the way.

Segment 67: Light Arrow cutscene. Enter Ganon's Castle. make Rainbow Bridge to Ganon's Castle. GS100 on archway. Clip into GFF for double hearts. Enter Ganon's Castle.

Segment 68: Get Golden Gauntlets.

Segment 69: Megaflip past barriers.

Segment 70: Final Boss. Win.

a few ideas:

1. isn't it possible to bottle dive down to the HP before Ice Cavern?
2. maybe fire arrows early, but I don't know if it's possible

and nice to see that you're going to use my SB for Spirit Temple Smiley

It has been done Grin

I found a way to skip the boss key in the spirit temple. With a little OoB and some bomb(chu) hovers I got into the boss room without the boss key.
The problem is, that it's probably to hard to do in real time and I can't upload the whole shortcut.
I'll upload it after I'm already in the OoB. How to get into the OoB will be uploaded tomorrow.

Wow! The boss room isn't preloaded?
Anyway, how many Bombchu will it take? If it's 9 or less, that'd be perfect.

Also, do realize you can't release bombchus in the void on a console. It will freeze the game.

hmm, did it freeze on the GC/VC versions also?
there's a couple of things that don't freeze GC/VC versions but freeze N64 like using deku sticks as adult.
