Hmm i was wondering if any1 has ever done/seen a mega sideways backflip or mega backwards sidehop? I have been trying it but with all the moving around it is tough to get the damage in the right spot
I think I might have made a perfect route. It does use a Death Warp to get Deku Stick on B but it's done fast enough that it doesn't waste time. I also found a way to get 15 bombs without wasting time too, so that means that we have more superslides in the Route. Anyway here it is:

ZAR: Still the route recently posted by Cosmo. is faster than yours, sorry. You couldn't pick up the first bomb drop because you don't have the bomb bag at this point, that leaves out one bomb drop. Taking wild estimates I can assume that you gain 20s from the savewarp after stealing the rod, about 10s from two kakariko->kokiri superslides (this one is actually timed), but then you loose at least 20s from taking damage from the babas and tektites and then killing yourself with a bomb, 10s from an extra bottle release/catch, 10s from manipulating the extra bomb drop from the grass around the sign, and playing prelude costs you exactly 31s (since it's faster to get to gv from tot than hylia after magic). You do the math.
edit: Indeed, the 20R from the pot in dampe's grave is almost 3s faster than the one in the room near the market bridge.
Can some1 help me out. I have been looking for a video on bomb sliding for quite some time. I was seeing if any1 had on video on teaching how to bomb slide. I have tried over and over many different ways but i am just unable to do it.
Well this is how I do it... I shield drop the bomb and while holding Z and R, backwalk a tiny bit until the action icon changes from grab to attack. Then I wait until the bomb is about to explode and press A to roll and then A again right away. Getting the timing right is the hardest. The perfect timing is pressing A and then the bomb exploding before you finish your roll. If you store a ground jump, then you grabbed too early. If you didnt even grab it then too late.
Hmmm, i see. After you roll, and then hit A again, and the bomb explodes, do you have to hold back on the joystick or will it auto slide automatically until you release R?
If I recall, falling from a high height is a half heart of damage, and the Tektite hitting you is the same. However, falling from a high height, Link will crouch down in place, so you won't be able to move.
So, in theory, the Tektite would be faster.
Fall damage is 1 full heart. You can cancel out the delay from falling by using your shield as you land.
I just went and tested it, it only did a half heart damage. Without the double defense. With double defense is a quarter.
I just tested it too and it's half a heart with the double hearts upgrade (this was on 1.0). I do know though that it deals one full heart on the GCN version too (try falling down the deku tree hole and land on the ground there). My first guess was that it might be dependant on how high you fall from but after some testing, that doesn't seem to be the case. It's always been a full heart for me.

How much damage you take when falling depends on how far you fall. Going from the top of the fire temple to the bottom will ake away 1 full heart while the top of goron city to bottom will take away half a heart. I think it works this way: If its low enough that you can roll when you hit the ground by pressing up, but don't press up to roll, you lose half a heart (obviously it still has to be high enough so you take some damage). If its so high that pressing up won't do anything, you lose 1 full heart.
Awesome job with the bridge skip no ISG Acryte :D!

Yeah, that's what I first thought too, but I tested it at various heights around the DC entrance by jumping off the cliff, and I seemed to always take full damage. Maybe I just wasn't low enough...
