Are you sure about the fire temple thing? I have v1.1 and my fire temple music sounds like the first video not the second.
No the Quail is not riding the Q
Nice find DJS
Hmm i was wondering if any1 has ever done/seen a mega sideways backflip or mega backwards sidehop? I have been trying it but with all the moving around it is tough to get the damage in the right spot

Eeeeyah!
I think I might have made a perfect route. It does use a Death Warp to get Deku Stick on B but it's done fast enough that it doesn't waste time. I also found a way to get 15 bombs without wasting time too, so that means that we have more superslides in the Route. Anyway here it is:

Segment 1:
Opening Scene
Save

Segment 2:
Sword
Save

Segment 3:
Sheild

Segment 4:
Escape the Forest
Cucco Route
Set ScareCrow Song
Get 40R from Chains (40R)
Door of Time Skip
Get the Master Sword
Save

Segment 5:
Go to Kakoriko
Get Pocket Egg
Go to GraveYard
Get Hylian Sheild
Get Hookshot and 20R from Dampe's Grave
Save

Segment 6:
Backwalk to Lake Hylia
Steal the Fishing Rod (40R)
Get Deku Stick on B button
Save

Segment 7:
Go to Kakoriko
RBA with Cucco Adult Wallet and Black Gauntlets into Inventory
RBA with Bomb to get Bomb Slot into Inventory
Get 5 Bombs from around Tree
Wake Talon up with Cucco
Show Cucco to Cucco Lady
RBA with Cojiro to get Bomb Bag and Biggest Bomb Bag
Get 5 Bombs from around sign, 5 Bombs from Tree (15 bombs total)
Superslide to Kokiri Forest (14 Bombs left)
Get Hit from Deku Baba at Kokiri Forest Entrance (2 1/2  hearts left)
Show Cojiro to Young Punk to get Odd Mushroom
Go back to Kakariko Goron City warp Take Damage from Bomb blast (2 hearts left) (13B left)
Take a Damage from the Tekttie near Kakariko entrance (1 1/2 hearts left)
Buy 10 Arrows and 1 Deku Stick from Bazzar (10R Left)
Jump onto Top of Potion Shop
Jump down from Potion Shop (1  hearts left)
Show Odd Mushroom to Old Hag to get Odd Potion
Superslide out of Kakariko (12 bombs left)
Superslide to Kokiri Forest
Get hit from Baba Again (Half heart left)
Show Odd Potion to Kokiri Girl to get Poacher Saw
RBA Lullaby/Nocturne/Seranade/Prelude
Kill Link with Bomb (11 bombs left) Deku Stick should be back on B now
Go to Death Mountain from Goron City Warp
Blow up First Boulder Blocking Death Mountain Summit (10 bombs left)
Second Boulder Skip
Superslide through Eruption Zone (9 bombs left)
Get Magic with Ocarina Items (8 bombs left)
Warp to Lake Hylia
Superslide to Hyrule Field (7 bombs left)
Superslide to Gerudo Vally (6 bombs left)
Gerudo Bridge Skip
Trade Poachers Saw to Carpenter Boss to get Broken Goron Sword
Get Bottle on B
RBA Forest/Water/Spirit/Shadow Medallion
Save

Segment 8:
Light Arrow Cutscene
Master Sword back on B now
Trials Skip
Save

Segment 9:
Kill Ganondorf with Quickspin Method

Kill Ganon
Yes, a cucco riding the ground.

He closed his account one day because he was bored, and his videos went with him.

ZAR: Still the route recently posted by Cosmo. is faster than yours, sorry. You couldn't pick up the first bomb drop because you don't have the bomb bag at this point, that leaves out one bomb drop. Taking wild estimates I can assume that you gain 20s from the savewarp after stealing the rod, about 10s from two kakariko->kokiri superslides (this one is actually timed), but then you loose at least 20s from taking damage from the babas and tektites and then killing yourself with a bomb, 10s from an extra bottle release/catch, 10s from manipulating the extra bomb drop from the grass around the sign, and playing prelude costs you exactly 31s (since it's faster to get to gv from tot than hylia after magic). You do the math.

edit: Indeed, the 20R from the pot in dampe's grave is almost 3s faster than the one in the room near the market bridge.
You dont have to take the dmg from the tektite, you get dmged just from falling of the ramp near DC....dont know if it makes any difference but ya
He's back!
I'm a little confused by the route, you can't currently cross the bridge in GV if you have a stick or bottle on B. You'd need to steal the rod twice.
Zelda Scientist®
I thought on GCN you could use the stick as adult :p
If that's the case then stick on B can be used to cross gv

Can some1 help me out. I have been looking for a video on bomb sliding for quite some time. I was seeing if any1 had on video on teaching how to bomb slide. I have tried over and over many different ways but i am just unable to do it.
I am not a NERD or a GEEK I am a N33K
same here i need help too
Well this is how I do it... I shield drop the bomb and while holding Z and R, backwalk a tiny bit until the action icon changes from grab to attack. Then I wait until the bomb is about to explode and press A to roll and then A again right away. Getting the timing right is the hardest. The perfect timing is pressing A and then the bomb exploding before you finish your roll. If you store a ground jump, then you grabbed too early. If you didnt even grab it then too late.

Hmmm, i see. After you roll, and then hit A again, and the bomb explodes, do you have to hold back on the joystick or will it auto slide automatically until you release R?
It will auto slide till you release R. No need to move the joystick

That's a matter of a half, maybe one second.
Speed is the key.

But won't it be faster to get hit by the Tektite?

If I recall, falling from a high height is a half heart of damage, and the Tektite hitting you is the same. However, falling from a high height, Link will crouch down in place, so you won't be able to move.

So, in theory, the Tektite would be faster.

Fall damage is 1 full heart. You can cancel out the delay from falling by using your shield as you land.

It wouldn't be helpful as a kid, since you'd have to have an explosive to megaflip the first gap with anyway.

I'm 100% sure it's a half heart.

I just went and tested it, it only did a half heart damage. Without the double defense. With double defense is a quarter.

I just tested it too and it's half a heart with the double hearts upgrade (this was on 1.0). I do know though that it deals one full heart on the GCN version too (try falling down the deku tree hole and land on the ground there). My first guess was that it might be dependant on how high you fall from but after some testing, that doesn't seem to be the case. It's always been a full heart for me.

How much damage you take when falling depends on how far you fall.  Going from the top of the fire temple to the bottom will ake away 1 full heart while the top of goron city to bottom will take away half a heart.  I think it works this way: If its low enough that you can roll when you hit the ground by pressing up, but don't press up to roll, you lose half a heart (obviously it still has to be high enough so you take some damage).  If its so high that pressing up won't do anything, you lose 1 full heart.

Awesome job with the bridge skip no ISG Acryte :D!

Yeah, that's what I first thought too, but I tested it at various heights around the DC entrance by jumping off the cliff, and I seemed to always take full damage. Maybe I just wasn't low enough...
