I have to admit I'm definitley looking forward to this, its kinda weird doing an early well and then getting the SoS as an adult. Don't forget to use the Deku Tree adult trick as it'll save a trip back as a child in order to get the remaining skulltula behind that loose wall. I guess my reason for looking forward to it is to see what tricks will be attempted and what won't. Its also a bit weird getting the Nocturne after completing Shadow. I have to admit I have my doubts if I'll see that epona trick, but can epona still be called after the trick has been done, but the way I see it, the epona trick saves so much time that its worth making several attempts and then failing itm but I guess that would be the first objective as an Adult since that is what Nintendo would have intended to have been done first.
I doubt if I'll see the golden gauntlet trick being performed but I guess its probally best to get it and then get the double fairy since the time lost will be minimal, but then again isn't seam walking meant to be easy with hover boots.
It would be good if fluffy_kitten uploaded the epona skip being done, because I've proved on emulator that its almost certainly possible.
Edit: What's the best tactic against Dark Link? I can't imagine my tactic being the fastest (just killing him with the Master Sword).
As far as I know: Din's Fire + Megaton Hammer. Use Din's Fire, hit him with the Hammer as soon as he resurfaces, and repeat. If you break the chain, just use Din's Fire again.
I wont do the Adult Deku Tree trick. It's out of the way, really, I just get it as a kid, then savewarp back to the hut.

If you check my Link and download the VTS_03 from my 4:40 which is near the top then you'll see me beating Dark Link in an all time record. Don't try to kill with just a sword its far to difficult as there is only 1-2 frames when he's out of sync.
Can anyone whose watched all four runs verify my time please as my estimate was 4:40 and 31 secs.

Make sure you have plenty of magic.
Yeah, but I wont have the hammer and I'll only have the first magic meter. That = 3 Din's Fires. Maybe I'll use Those Din's and then kill him with the sword, it's not that hard.
I'll check out your vid, AKA.
Thanks guys.
Edit: I've played up to the Fire Temple (got Biggoron's Sword), and getting the two big poes on my way to death mountain wont be a problem. I gave the Eye Drops to Biggoron with 32 seconds left on the timer!
Another thing, I discovered that I don't need to plant the bean in the Lost Woods. I'll plant that bean anyway, but in Zora's River, as I pass through there twice as an adult. I'll grab the skulltula in the Woods at the same time as I'm delivering the Eye Drops. 8)
AKA: You had a nice battle against Dark Link, unfortunately, I can't use that tactic as I wont have the hammer.

Unless there's something I don't understand about the trick, you could do it right after the forest temple, as the warp out of the forest temple places you right in front of the Deku Tree.
Of course, if this trick is really difficult, you may not want to put it right after a temple in a segment.

Does this trick need to be done to avoid going back in time? If used you might save just a few seconds on the actual Deku Tree since you don't have to push the block down.

I will grab the two skulltulas in the block room with the boomerang, then ground jump up to the ledge.
I played through the Fire Temple. This will be a piece of cake, I'll use both small key skips and then pwn Volvagia with BGS. I'm pretty sure he can be killed in one cycle.
This is what I'll do:
-Wait till he comes up -Jumpslash with Megaton Hammer to stun him -Jumpslash with BGS (doesn't hit) -Crouch stab him -He goes down, then starts flying around the room. -I'll shoot 4 (or 6) headshots with the bow. -He's dead.
I'm pretty sure this'll work.
Edit: If I don't have to kill him with the sword, of course.
Edit: That's a good strategy for Dark Link, Fierce. I'll use that.

That's intresting..I didn't know shooting him with the bow hurted him. Cool.
Are you sure you can ground jump up to that ledge in GDT? I remember trying it once and not being able to.
I'm sure, I've done it already.
Amazing Ampharos, in case you're still reading this thread... I could dump the bugs in the end of the first child section to be able to use all three bottles for big poes as an adult, then grab a new bottle o' Bugs in the hole at HC in the second young Link section... does this mean any changes to the route? :-/
Hmm, that's interesting. The thing is that we'll need two trips with 3 poes for the extra bottle to matter. Actually, this is easy. On the trip to Kakariko in segment 25 we get three big poes, and then on the trip to Zora's River in segment 27 we get the last big poe in that area, and then that leaves us two open bottles for the poes we get while getting eyedrops. That actually cuts out a rather slow savewarp. Don't forget that this means that the big poes have to be dropped off before becomming a kid again as it would look awfully stupid to go back to being a kid with 3 full bottles of poes. Actually, moving the segment 30 stuff to there might be a nice solution as then we'd go back in time with 2 poes and an empty bottle.
Also, I intend to fix up the route with all the things that have come up during the practice run after the practice run itself is finished. I might repost the whole thing as a unit for easier reference(but I don't know if it fits in one post). It would be nice if it could go in the first post, but TSA made the topic...

I completed the game, but I only had 98 skulltulas.... :-/
I checked the whole list on GameFAQ's, but I didn't find any I didn't rmember not taking, so chances are big that I just forgot to grab 2 of them. Chances are minimal that this'll happen in a run, though.
I found another problem - After the Water Temple, I'm supposed to go to Gerudo Valley and on my way there get the skulltula in the hole in hyrule field. But the place where the hole will appear is blocked by a rock that you'll need the megaton hammer to break! Not good. :-/
Everything else was fine, though. Thanks, Amazing.
Also, do you know which ones you forgot? you can check on the map subscreen (highlight an area and a skulltula icon will appear if you have all the skulltulas in that area).
