What about trying to do it with ISG on? If there really is a small piece of ground there that Link can stand on then ISG should stop Link either on that peice of ground or have him float in the air....
Posted this on TASVideos and figured I might aswell add it here:

I'm not sure, but couldn't a a backwards sidehop help in getting the right angle? If you didn't know, its done the same way as the sideways backflip:
Just do a sidehop instead of a backflip after the roll. A TAS should be able to get Link to face almost any angle by timing the sidehop on different frames after the roll.
Off topic: I'm on your side Samoth! I care about those credits things much. You guys can blame me about that thing too if you want but that is my point. If someone find something then he really should be get credits about it!!! And if somebody will find way to use this oob to skip all three stones. he and Samoth should be get credits too! I know I'm stupid :-/ End of off topicness!
But hey this is really awesome discovery Samoth!!! Great work with it!! Wait when I'll get on home too I will try it for sure!!! This looks really close and what I know all others "so close" oot tricks is worked too This really looks intresting! Awesome work with this Samoth!!! And good luck with this you guys if you try find way to get this to work!
I think we should start planning a backup route incase the Temple of Time glitch is possible.
EDIT: alright, i think i know why you just get pushed into the void. i used the look through walls glitch and found that there was no solid ground next to the DoT. You see, I think that the little tap we heard was link landing inside of the wall. however, the solidness of the wall pushes link off. though I agree with zar, he should have atleast floated with ISG on...
make this work!! that way my skip the deku tree thing is useful! lol
amazing find, 10 years after the game came out, good job
Thanks! I'll try my best to make this possible, and your find wont be in vain! ;D.
EDIT: people really have to start testing this the other way. Link might be able to jumpslash to the small piece of ground on the left side of the door of time. I also realized, I posted a shitload on these past few pages!
Sorry I don't know enough about BA, but would it be possible to get an explosive on B, and then have it damage boost you forward the moment you clip the wall? Just another thought I had.
Most possible thing to me looks that if you face away from DoT and then do sidehops. Then when you get trought of wall do jump attack and you are really close to getting in the one of those little pillars. left side of DoT. If you manage to get on the that little ledge you can maybe just jump to the otherside of DoT. Iäm have got it very close to it! But still miss it.
Other things is that too I have get link trought of wall about four differents angles. But still not enought far angle that lets you jump slash other side of DoT.
I'm other little strategies too. I will continue to test this. This seems to be very close pull this off but still too far away. I hope we will broke oot even more with this ^^
EDIT: Sorry if I don't explain all and my upper explanation is bad. I cannot explain them because my english is bad for that, sorry!
The small pillar that everyone refering to is too small to stand in, attempting to land on it will eject Link, I know this because I've tested it with levatation.
Dude, if someone pulls of that sequence break, OOT is gonna be damn fast beated. I lost my spirit to play OoT because off my suckness (I cant pull off any off these sequence breaks). Anyway, I still watch runs. Anyway, good luck to all who attempting the glitch.
Wow, I just heard about this new theory to break the DoT. I've tried it a lot and have gotten close as well. I've also tried Kazooie's idea to turn around and jumpslash onto the pillar then jump across the DoT. But sadly, it doesn't work even after a perfect jumpslash to it.
Does anyone know if you can use the ocarina or bottle after a successful sidehop through the DoT?
People claim you land on the ground before falling into the void. If that's true then it should be possible to use the ocarina or bottle, but I haven't been able to get it to work.

Here is also an attempt at what happens:
I went and viewed it frame by frame and it looks like I should have landed in the right spot, but then suddenly Link ended up through the wall.
EDIT: Yeah I also tried mashing the Ocarina to try and play it, no luck. Would it be possible to do the Ocarina items trick? Since Link plays the sword/item as soon as he lands, if he hit something solid he should automatically whip out whatever you played.
