It's definitely doable, just the route would change pretty drastically over the SS run. Speaking of which, if anyone has an updated route handy, please post it here.;) Or even if it's a little outdated, we can touch it up to include recent stuff.

Wouldn't it be the same thing as Fluffy's route with Nayru's Love? That's only if the person running it cannot pull off the manual slides at the end of a run or something, then it would turn out to be like Cheese's route.

You can't save warp after going to the Spirit Temple as a child.

I was going to FW from the Spirit Temple to Jabu Jabu's belly, until I realised I couldn't realistically do the gate skip in a single segment. I'd imagine either this method or using the adult Link gate skip would be the quickest methods, but both are a bit difficult for a single segment (by my standards anyway).
The adult gate skip is pretty easy with practice and is definitely feasible for a single-segment, should it be used. The cucco jump might be too extreme, but you'd have everything needed to do Kazooie's method of getting over the gate IIRC.

What was Kazooie's method? I would love to get Kazooie's video (and the other two for that matter), but it would take ages to download on my connection, and we can't keep the phone busy for that long. Damn broadband blackspots. :-/
EDIT: If Kazooie's method is the bomb jump, that's the method I normally use anyway. The timing with the guards is hard, though.

An SS run could very easily get below 3 hours and quite possibly get 2:30 now, the main reason is becuase the Spirit temple can be skipped, although you still need to get the odd mushroom. Although one of the main difficulties is having to beat Ganondorf in one cycle.

Yeah, I guess we might as well ignore the old methods and go straight on to a BA SS run. I imagine it would be easier, since I'm still struggling to work out a realistic non-BA SS route that would at least get close to 3 hours.
Do you need the odd mushroom for Kazooie's new method? -

For anyone who want to know the upto to date route, I have a vid of the rejected TAS which pretty much shows the main route and tricks, of course super flips aren't used and some of the strategies are ineffient, but it demonstrates how RBA will be implemented. Also the best way to put the bottle on B is to use a side step instead of a backflip.
Why can't you use hover boots to skip the barrier in Ganon's Castle?
A BA run would skip the hover boots :P.But this is mostly for my MQ run because OoT can just use the spirit trial method.Lets take this to the MQ topic.

I'm not sure if it would be useful in a 100% run, but that's a cool trick.
I don't think it is. I think that by the time you get there, you have bombs and can easily mega-flip to it after grabbing the Gold Skultula there.
It's just funny that you can get there after getting the Lullaby. If you'd combine this with getting Magic earlier (one of Acryte's vids I think), you can have double Magic way early.
Edit: wait, I think you need to beat DC to get Magic.
