Everybody loves Hypnotoad!
really?  I thought Kazooie made a video showing how to do it without CC.  This isn't the one in the chest, BTW.
Speed is the key.

Yeah, he did.

well, then, what's the answer to the question?

It's sort of an odd situation.  It's not supposed to be in there, really, but we can get it.  And, since Zelda has no % counter, we can't use that to decide, either.  I'd say if it shows up on the quest status subscreen, then it should be counted.
Are there anymore heart pieces like that in the game? And where is this heart piece in a chest?
Yes, a cucco riding the ground.
I don't think it should count. It's like the extra missile launcher in Metroid Prime (or Prime 2; I'm not sure <_<).
I think you should get it if you are going to Gerudo Fortress as a kid.  It's not really out of the way, and it's basically 101%.
It doesn't matter how you define it. What matter is how Radix define a 100% run and by that all heart pieces are required.
Everybody loves Hypnotoad!
I suppose that is true.  still, Radix didn't know about the 37th heart piece when he made that decision, so it's unclear if he really meant ALL of them.

Something tells me we should ask Radix...

Yes, a cucco riding the ground.
I honestly think it's the exact same as collecting the Missile Launcher twice in Metroid Prime 2.
But this isn't any specific item that you can get. As a heart piece it is the 37th one, but by name it is only a heart piece. You can interchange it with any other heart piece and it'll still perform it's role as a heart piece.
I iterate.  Let's just get it(it's not out of the way at all; it's a loss of seconds, seriously) and call the run 101%.

I still say Radix should have 101% instead of 100% runs on echoes. :/

And by the same token, I would collect this heart piece aswell, simply because it's there.

More like a loss of four minutes.

Why should that count towards 100%?  Does it count towards anything? NO!  Does it give you 21 hearts? NO!  Does the game want you to get it? NO!  Why?  Because the people who made the game never expected you to be able to get to Gerudo Fortress as a child.  So why should it count?  It shouldn't, it's just an extra item the game makers put in and never took out.  Like beta stuff!

Since when does this site care at all about what the game devs wanted us to do?

It does give us something: another quarter of a slot filled on the subscreen.  I don't care if it doesn't equal 21 hearts, that's good enough for me. Tongue

You said it : it's an ITEM. Which gives us a problem. As an item in the game, it should be taken if it is indeed possible. But, on the other hand, why should it count upon 100%, while it does nothing other than occuping a place in your inventory?

In general, any item that improves your character's abilities should be collected. Things that don't, such as map, aren't necessary.

37 heart piece is useless. So, it doesn't have to be taken...

It will be a little hard to decide whether to count it in 100p or not Tongue

It's not a question about whether or not we go by the rules of the game.  If you consider 37th heart piece part of 100% then why isn't the odd mushroom located in the chest at Gerudo Fortress considered part of 100% or what about the beta stuff only attainable through cheats?  Now you're going to say "well you need to do CC to get over there and it's against the rules".  Why does that matter?  You need bomb and bombchus to get 37th heart piece!  Meaning they both need an extra item (or in the case of CC, messing the game up to be able to walk through things).  Besides that I'm pretty sure that when a 100% route plan is made, we won't be visiting Gerudo Fortress as a child.

My point exactly.

Wouldn't it be faster to get the skuttulas as a child so that you won't need to go back there as an adult?

Yes, a cucco riding the ground.
You'll need to go back as an adult anyway for Ice Arrows and a bow upgrade.
Hey, i was wondering, do you guys know about the secret hole in kakariko village which has 2 undead, and if you kill them you get 200 rupees? I was just asking because i found it by accident, but it's not listed in any FAQs or tricks sites. I've got a vid of it but i thought about asking if you guys knew about it before posting it.
Everybody loves Hypnotoad!
I knew about it.  Theres one in the entrance to the sacred Forest Meadow with Wolfos, too.

I never knew about it until recently.  I knew about the one at SFM though  :D.

I didn't discover many of those until I got the Gamecube version; I never had a rumble pak.
When you say what should be gotten and shouldn't be gotten, then what about all the maps and compasses in each floor? Obviously, those items were meant to be gotten but why didn't him? Because it doesn't appear in the final menu? If so then what about the lenz? It certainly appears at the menu screen, and it's just as useless as the rumble pak as well as all the masks but why were the latter included but not this or the lenz? Certianly it appears in the menu screen.
No the Quail is not riding the Q

Maps and Compasses were not of requirement for the Majora's Mask run. Keep in mind the run is for entertainment... some of these things are out of the question.
