Yes, a cucco riding the ground.
You guys, he was asking if he had gotten it in the context of the run... V_V
No the Quail is not riding the Q

Umm Yautja Elder is one of the best Oot Players in the world. He's soon going to have a world record for the 100% run, and you think he might have never gotten it before. Thats like an insult.

He could be the worst player who has runs that are only entertaining because it's amusing how to watch all of the mistakes... which really makes him one of the best because he found new ways to make mistakes not intended by the developers but still manages to finish the game.
Then again what does that have to do with the question regarding the speedrun itself?
I HATE SDA!! (Kirby8943)
i was on this one game site and there was a mad lib on it so i did it and this is what i got.( Underlined words are the words i picked.)

Speed is the key.
Segment 41.

Half of the segment consists of cutscenes, but there you go anyway.

Edit: Segment 42.

There's a lot to say about this segment.

My hookshot/bow aiming was very good except for when hooking the tree near the beginning and the scarecrow on the lab's roof, but I think it's forgivable.

The guay attacked me as soon as I got onto the roof, allowed me to get a quick kill.

Epona didn't mess up once (as in stopping for no reason, doesn't want to jump a fence, etc.). This is rare.

I killed both poe's very quickly, it couldn't have been better. The second one is imo very hard to get, if I miss it once, it will fly into the wall and vanish.

The sloppiest part is no doubt the prison cell. I have no idea what I was doing when I was going to talk to that carpenter.

I wish there was a more reliable strategy for those gerudo thieves, though.

Speed is the key.
I checked the route on page 25, and according to it I have 11 heart pieces left to collect (excluding those listed there that I've already gotten), but I'll need 12 to get 3 heart containers. Hopefully there is an explanation to this; I'm going to check the child route and see if there are any heart pieces that I left behind and intended to get later.

Edit: Phew, I found it. Everything's alright.

Edit: I checked skulltulas aswell, they match up. Smiley

Does anybody know of any better strategies for the gerudo thieves, or is the hookshot + crouch stab combination the best?

I've tried everything I can think of, but I'm curious to see if someone here has any ideas.

What i did was jumpslash it right away and it almost always hits it, then follow up with power cruch stabs without stunning them. It pretty easy to power crouch stab them without stunning so i suggest you try it out. Hope that helps and good luck Wink

Thanks, I'll try that. Wink

I just timed all the adult segments I've so far and it's looking good. I'm 1 hour and 23 minutes into the adult section. So if I'm halfway through (the adult section), then we're looking at sub 6 here. I didn't think that I'd actually say this, but I can guarantee sub 6:30.

Holy shit
I thought it the time would be like 8-9 hours NICE JOB!
Food goes in here
Segment 42 - That deku scrub heart piece has to be the easiest one ever. I hate the gerudo thieves, they're so unpredictable and annoying to fight. But I think kirby's idea of just power crouching constantly would work pretty good, like maybe force her into a corner, stun with hookshot, jumpslash, power crouch.

Also, it's weird seeing OoT epona after playing so much TP, heh.

Anyway, nice segments.

Was he? Ahh, I apologize then. But on the other hand, YE wouldn't have posted about getting it if he already had...
Speed is the key.
Guys, take a look at this:

Ice arrows can actually freeze a Gerudo. The odd thing is that you're not even supposed to have them at this point in the game! I have no idea (though someone here probably has) why they would work like this against a gerudo.

I'll be sure to test them (and fire arrows) against other kinds of enemies and bosses (Volvagia comes to mind).

Simply crouch stabbing works good (against gerudo) from time to time, it's pretty random. I'm still going to use it though, since it is clearly faster than hookshooting them first.

Strange, but fire arrows on volvagia is a great idea. Good Luck on the speedrun.

OK... I'm sorry. I only said it because he said he was getting knocked down every time he tried to get it. this is why I wondered if he'd been able to get that heart piece before.

Yeah, Maybe it's like an insult. I'm sorry for saying it, but Yautja has in fact shot 2 comments at me that weren't the nicest, for example:

Obviously, I haven't "Watched" the segment, I listened to it. he saw my topic in general and he knows my situation. and example 2:

Maybe I just didn't want to spend time shooting down all those guays in a speed run?

if there is nobody here with my name, What's the confusion? surely you'd know it's me, just like when I read "Yautja Elder" I know it's you, same with "Tsa" I know it's the one who made the 4:57 run etc.

I've seen you post around various topics here, but I didn't recognice you as the guy who created the topic in general chat. When I aksed you if you had watched my segment, I had only checked your topic once or twice since it was created.

Also, I always recognice people from looking at their avatar, and then their name, this might have something to do with me forgetting who you were.
