I've recorded a SS run, I died twise during the run witch is the best I've done so far while recording. It was hosted on filefront but they seem to of got rid of it Angry

I haven't got the time to do a perfect run. In most of my segments there are a few mistakes, Temple of Ix being the worst. If you can do a perfect run I would certainly watch it in awe and envy you immensly :shoot:

I am so glad that someone is doing a speedrun on nox! I thought I might have to do it myself someday. Good luck with hecubah (Think I spelled it right)!

Hecubah is not so hard. This game is not so hard when you know it. Only thing is hard is Galava Mage Tower when you're too low level for it. You need to dodge fireballs because they kill you in one hit. The rest can be done easily with potions.

It's funny to see that you have almost all the same trick as me. The only thing I see different is like 2 charges, where you don't charge exactly at the same spot as me.

There's a bit of frameskipping, but this game is doing that for me too at some place. The sound is good. But I don't know if this video quality can be accepted? We would need someone to verify that, if anyone read this.

I have not been active in Speed Running since my previous post, I've had alot happen regarding my computer, my Processor fried, I got a new mobo, but my computer is ANYTHING other than better.

I'm going to be getting a Socket 754 mobo and Processor within the next few weeks hopefully, and then I wil try to find a copy of NoX to play and join you guys with these Speed-runs, I now have 1GB of RAM [opposed to the 512MB I had before], DarkMane, if you see this please reply, I haven't sat down and had a discussion with you in a few months, it would be nice to hear from you again.

I hope this thread hasen't completely died yet, anyone reply if you're interested, goodbye. Cheesy

I was planing on restarting it, but there's some problem with my fraps and hardware. Half of the time, each time I end the recording with fraps, Fraps crashes. This do 2 things. I have to close it with Ctrl+alt+suppr, and the video I just recorded is corrupted.

Another thing, when I finaly make a good segment and Fraps don't crash, the sound is not sync with the image (You hear the sounds play between 1 and 2 sec before the image).

I gave up for now, but I might retry later, when I find out how to correct the audio sync. And I'm too lazy to try to reinstall Fraps.

Is there people interested in this run? I seem to have fixed my audio/video sync problem, and I'm up to give it another try. But if I don't see any interest in this run, I will just give up on it, or let someone else do it.

It seemed like only me and Darkmane were interested in the last months

Well, I used to have the game many years ago so I'd enjoy seeing just how badly it can be ripped apart in the various ways.

I stopped doing this run because of lack of interest from community. I never made a complete run of this game, I had like 2 or 3 chapters left.

So don't expect to see a video of this from me anywhere soon. Hope someone else want to do it, and if it's the case, I can always help out with the route and known shortcuts.

well that's definately a bummer. filefront seems to have deleted darkmane's videos, too. i found myself a copy of the game last tuesday or so and have been playing it almost non-stop since. its a really cool game, but im not nearly good enough to do a speedrun, and i don't have any clue how to record it. i would be totally psyched to see a run, but if im gonna do a run im going to need some help and tips and ill probably do it this summer, cause school is a bitch. for now, ill keep playing to try to better my skills.

This is weird, I reconsidered this game yesterday, but there's somethign wrong with my recording now. I don't know if it's Vista or Dual-Core processor, or my GFX drivers, but once I start recording, my frame rate decrease dramaticaly (I've changed my comp since the last time I runned this game). I would need an external device to make this possible, but I don't have any, and I don't plan to buy one.

well thats not good, i guess if i want to see a run, itll have to be my own. my computer is ancient anyway, so it runs great. like i said, its gonna have to wait at a month or so for school to end before i can seriously think about it. i guess ill keep checking this and ill look on the forum to find out how recording works.

I still have my firsts 8 chapters runs, but I only have the save to the chapter 6. If you want hints and shortcuts help, I can always post them on youtube/google video someday.

like i said before, im still not very good, im saving about every minute or so just in case i die, which i usually do. any help would be appreciated, but what i should really be doing right now is schoolwork. any hints and tips woould be greatly appreciated, and ill keep working on my skills ( which are currently very poor)
