That's odd. I was sure Dark was a member of these forums... *shrugs* I just made a mistake.

And not only am I sure that there's some random, obscure rule that says that you can never begin a sentence with the word "and", but I'm Canadian.

No, the member's name is Lord Styphon.  As for the "and" rule, it probably is a rule, but I'd have to double check that.  I think it's really a strong suggestion not to do it.

It's one of those "rules" that some people insist on, yet isn't actually part of modern English. Unless you're trying to sound super-formal and dry.

It's real in the way a backronym is real.

Wow. Is that you or just some random person who happens to have the same screen name as you without the underscore?

"YaBB 1G - SP1" (bless its little Perl heart) requires underscores when you register.

But you must realize that there are no rules, only suggestions. And that one is particularly stupid. Or maybe we can think of even better examples.

This example was thought of by me. 1 more example is in this sentence. Here's another example. What is this post coming to? I need to carefully think about this.
Whats a "backronym"?

It seems Nate is a KMFDM fan judging by the titles of his last 2 news posts.  8)
i thought it was appropriate. ;P
I won't complain until the titles start to contain random bits of information about chili dogs.

I might be the only one here who actually understood that.
I was wondering what the titles were from.  I thought it was the orc grunts from Warcraft 2.

Negative, I understood he's suggesting Nate's mild obsession with Sonic, and speedrunning his games of his golden years, and the fact that in both American animated series he starred in during the mid-1990s both displayed he had a love for chilli dogs.

Obviously. Are you behind on your local slang concerning long vocabulary terms concerning Chemistry? It's totally mainstream, yo. Or maybe I suffer from OARS (Obsessive Abbreviating to-a-Retarded-level Syndrome).

Proper capitalization makes it easier to read. All lowercase MAY NOT BE AS DIFFICULT TO READ AS ALL UPPERCASE, but it still requires more effort. To recognize new sentences, distinguish names, etc.

At least it's not as annoying as not using punctuation,or spaces, correctly which makes  the sentence  look more messed up  i think although you may have your own opinion on the matter and certainly less legible and in the case of some people with excessive mind-context-switches totally unreadable,.

I didn't see the need to state that because the Archie comic series based their entire cast and Sonic's personality traits (hence, love of chilli dogs) from "Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM)".

EHHH! Wrong. Oh, I'm so sorry. But the comic came out a few years before the saturday morning cartoon show.Hence where the original idea came from. This spawned about three versions. One good, one bad, and one really bad.In that version someone deemed it neccesary to givs Sonic a green brother named Manic, his sister was Amy and they traveled in a rock band stopping Robotnik at every turn.(yeah you heard right, its a shame). Scary, huh?

Hmm, you claim me wrong when it seems you're poorly educated on your history of Sonic animated series. Technically, you win this battle, Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM) did premire after Archie's comic of Sonic the Hedgehog, but it's very close. SatAM premired September 18, 1993; while the comic began only a month earlier. Wikipedia claims that the comic uses alot of details from the show versus your vice-versa claim.

Further more, to educate you on the matter, there are 5 animated peices that star Sonic:

Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, produced by DiC, it was more of a Looney Tunes approach to Sonic, with shallow plots that satisfied the youth at the time. 66 episodes were produced before cancellation to start on ..

Sonic the Hedgehog, also prodcued by DiC, premired 09/18/93, everyone knows about this, Wiki it if you feel to learn more about it.

Sonic the Hedgehog OVA, produced in 1996, featured an entire new world, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Eggman, and Metal Sonic; among others. Probably the same team behind the Sonic CD introduction and ending produced it due to the simularities in action scenes (They're freakin' awesome and show a true sense of speed!)

Sonic Underground, I could go mayday on this peice of shit called a show. But anyone whose ever had the displeasure of viewing will know there is no need to ever bring this crud back up to attention. Bad show, bad plot, bad characters, BS theme, BS music, bad, bad, bad, bad.

Sonic X, it sucks. 99.7% Chris. 0.2% predictable garbage plot development, 0.1% Sonic.
Ok, you got me on the third one because I didn't know about that one. Sonic X would have been great if not for that idiot kid and his annoying school friends. But I do have a question for anyone who kept up with that show: At the end of the last season, Sonic and co. return home to their own world. The episode ends with all the kids being about 5 to six years older and trying to find a way to Sonic's world. Yet... at the start of the new season Chris is back to being a kid again. Anyone get why...I missed it. I don't really care since the show ain't all that great, it just bugs me a little.
