Hi all,
the waiting time is finally over again! The registration for the SRL Mystery Tournament #8 is officially open since last week, with already 60+ entrants.

All entrants will compete in about 30-minute long mystery goals against their opponent, trying to battle all the way through a double elimination bracket to our big Top-8 stream event. The game pool consists entirely of goals submitted by all our participants. The mandatory amount of game submissions per player has been reduced to 1 for this tournament - this will allow newer players, who struggle with finding good goals, an easier entry. Each round will last a few days, to allow everyone to get their matches in.

And as usual, you don't have to be good at speedrunning to join this event, players of all skill levels are welcome!

You can find the sign-up link, as well as all rules in detail on our website http://mystery.beatthega.me/.
Don't hesitate to visit us in #mystery on the SpeedRunsLive IRC to ask any questions or to just say hello!

Not sure if I overlooked this, but - do goals have to be from the beginning of the game or can it start from a savestate?

(Alternatively, if my game has a level select, can I give directions in my pastebin to select a particular level this way?)
Yes, start from level select or save state is allowed, but the goal should be 1 continuous section. For save states, make sure to use the emulator from our emu bundle (you can find it in the Resources section of the website).
