I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
I'm considering recording a speed run of Myst V but I have some questions first. In Myst V there are times when you must go somewhere to find a code to open a lock or whatnot. In the speedrun, would it be appropriate if I just entered the code without having to find it in the game?
Second, at the end there is a long cutscene and credits. Do I have to time this to or does it not count?

Yeah, you can enter the code if you already know it.

As for the long cutscene, I think, generally, endings are kept in the game, but they're not timed.
Unless there's an in-game timer displayed at the end, timing starts when the player gains control and ends when the player loses control. You also don't need to time it, someone else will do that for you.

i like to watch.
um. if you know the "codes", each area of the game can be completed in under a minute. (there are four areas.)

making for a fairly undramatic run, i should think?

Yeah. It will be great to do not only Myst 5 but also all the previous ones +)

This was actually mentioned in an earlier topic on Myst too. The solution would be to do a 100% run, going through all the puzzles.
i dont really like a run of myst ( anyvesrion ) since its 100% memorize and 0% skill or talent..

anyone that click fast and read a walktrought can do it Shocked
