26 minutes for Jack-in-the-Box? Shocked

Personally, I think Wouter had his rabbit do this for him, because the Wouter we know wouldn't fail poorly at shooting, miss things 10+ times, or run around for 6 minutes, spend ten seconds reading his notes, then wind up halfway across the level.

Yeah, it seems like he just printed something from gamefaqs, bought DK64, popped it in, then recorded the first and only time he ran it, nonstop.

But honestly, that was hilarious. We need a total count for the number of times he failed the rabbit race, the owl race, the cannonball-shooting thing, and Jack-in-the-Box combined. And I don't want to know if and how bad he messed up on K. Rool.

On a side note, we must now praise David Gibbons, for showing true bravery, perserverance, and tolerance in the form of verifying and sitting through this entire 14 hour train wreck, and coming out without any major head trama and being able to share the experience with the needy. You are a true American Hero.

*p.s* Only Wouter Jansen can Chunky-hump and igloo and get away with it. Grin

omg hahaha. so awesome. i love this kind of crap to begin with so even though i haven't played the game it was hilarious. best parts were when he was trying to shoot the fruit switch or whatever around 14:00 (of course only one in a long series of such episodes) and then battling the enemy for no reason around 16:00. Smiley

was he getting killed the first few times in the old dk arcade game by something blinking at 60 hz? didn't really see why he would die when he went too low or whatever.

be sure to post said counter-strike video here when you finish it ... because that's a game i've actually played!

Yeah, if you fall like more than an inch in the original DK, you die. Which kinda ruins the "walk off the cliff" bit a little because you so should not die from that.

Anyway, can Wouter give me some of that shit he was on when he decided to try to get this onto SDA? That's gotta be some powerful stuff.

My instant classics: "Where's the key?" Chunky and the amazing 100 point Jetpac run. I was so hoping he'd score a big goose egg, but eh.

I loved how you intersperesed the entire Gloomy Galleon segment with those cannon attempt. And yes, if I was there I'd be yelling "aim higher! GRAVITY!"

And during the bug minigame I can almost hear him yelling "GOD DAMN MOTHERFUCKING BUG STOP MOTHERFUCKING LAUGHING AT ME YOU PIECE OF MOTHERFUCKING SHIT!"

I'm about 20 minutes into the video, and the one that's gotten me the most is the part where he defeats one of the Kremlings that drop a blueprint as Tiny, then can't @#%$ manage to make it across those wooden platforms to get to it. Did he not realize that Tiny has that gliding hair-twirl ability? He doesn't even have to god damn walk across the boards!

Anyway, i never played DK64, but the video was still really funny Grin

I kept wondering how he kept going with such a horrible run, almost like he didn't care about it and just decided to give it a run immediately after buying the game. Tongue

I'm too lazy to throw you the thread. It's easy to miss because it's less than 1 page in posts. On page 3 of my Sonic Adventure SS thread he (I forgot his screen name) revealed he was from TSC, had a bunch of records at there, and could easily pwn me. I let him take center stage and have at it.

3-4 months later and nothing had happened, I was starting to get annoyed with my run still being up. He then spontaneously starts process on the run again and settled for a run with 1 death. Still very impressive.

DK64 is the only really long game that I've ever 100%ed.

I made a $25 bet with my friend that I could beat him through it, we both finished it on the same night and neither of us could remember what time we finished it at, so we called the bet off.

I went back and read this whole thread a while back, and while most of the entire SDA community had every sort of mixed reaction, the argument against submitting to Twin Galaxies and not SDA was best put forward here is a massive post by TSA. Some things won't make sense out of context, but it's a good post.
