Definitely! Try and set the audio up as best as you can...Roland MT-32 music sounds fantastic for these games.

i would be interested. i wanted to make a MI1 speedrun too but i was too lazy to plan my route for the second part. the 1st is pretty easy 8)

I've still got an MT-32 in a box somewhere. That thing was insanely badass.

About the Monkey Island games, would there really be any tricks or would it just be about optimizing your route?

I'd imagine a run like this would wind up depending on getting lucky with the sword fighting once the optimum route gets nailed down.

Sword fighting is my main concern. I already know all the insults/replies including the ones to the Sword Master, but you'd have to get pretty lucky.

In the second one my main concern is the spitting contest, I have been stuck doing that for a VERY long time in the past.

uhhm...are there so many things you should know about the spitting contest? replace flags, use this green drink, look at the scarf (AFAIK)
I would really really like to see a monkey run. SO DO IT. or ill do it Wink

I was also planning to do speed runs for MI 1-4(!) but the random factor of the fights have killed my interest very quickly.. but now as some people are interested I might try it again :D.

so what are your routes? in which sequence do you do the three trials? i think treasure (im currently wearing the tshirt Grin

) swordfight and the idol part work best. bcs when you climb out of the water you dont have to walk to the docks anymore

I haven't looked into the routes that I am planning to take just yet. Haven't been able to find the disks containing the game (Monkey Island).

As for the spitting contest, I know about moving the flags, the green drink but could you fill me in on the scarf please?

IIRC...you watch the scarf animation to see when the wind is blowing for a longer spit.

Yup thats the one!

Would be great to see these runs - although it would be more about optimising routes then tricks to speed them along, and it would prob be 2hrs +, but id d/l it!!

All 4 games would be cool!

I am too very interested to see Speedruns from Point & Click Adventures. I loved all Monkey Island games and the both Indiana Jones games.

By Indiana Jones 4 - Fate of Atlantis are 3 different ways. Would be great to see all of them.

I would love to se a run of all the MI Games, but as long as you dont jump over all the dialog (audio speech)...

More old point and click games!

Games that I really would like to see is Discworld 1&2...... You can´t have any more fun than playing them and lissen to the funny lines of Eric Idle as Rincewind the "Wizzard"... Grin

As long as (and I have said it before) you dont miss out any of the dialog in the games...
