There are no differences as far as I know, except of course a console would be easier due to analog stick.

hm.. would it be better to play mi1+2+3 on console? becose you can port every scumm game to ps2

No, the analog stick is no match for the mouse in terms of click speed.

The only reason MI4 is better on console is because you directly contol Guybrush rather than indicating where he should go, therefore the versatility of moving in any direction rather than forward and turning is an advantage.

Of course, if someone got good enough doing this on pc, it wouldn't make a difference. I can't comment too heavily since I have not played the ps2 version, but I imagine it would be easier at least due to these reasons.

The sequence in MI 1 is not perfect. I've recorded a time of 42:20. I think I could shave off another minute on the sword fighting. Is a sub 40 min run possible?

Made it in less than 40 minutes! 39:12 to be precise, which is a little more than 9 minutes faster the previous run. Of course, I did use more savegames, but only to optimize the random elements. Here are the main time-savers:

- Sword fighting. On my second recording here I slipped up early and left a fight by accident. I was about to start over when I thought that it might actually bring me luck… and it did! It took less than 3 minutes to beat three pirates and learn 5 new replies. I’ve never done it that fast before and probably never will again. Overall, I saved 3 minutes here.
- Sequence change. After completing the trials I talked to Stan about credit before going back into town. This saved me a trip back and forth and about one minute.
- Opening the safe. I used a savegame here since it’s almost impossible not to waste time while doing this “live”. Saved about half a minute.
- Catacombs. This is totally random and times to get through can vary greatly. Saved about a minute here.

The rest of the time was gained in small bits throughout. I made no other major sequence changes (Phallosvogel had planned things well).

Btw Phallosvogel, if you are reading this, your MI2 run is very well planned and executed. The only flaw I noticed was a sequence inaccuracy similar to the one you made in MI1. After you get the Largo voodoo doll, you should get the rat and the money before using the doll. That will save you a trip back and forth to town and approx. one full minute.

@MI2: There is an even bigger mistake :-[
I pressed ESC to eraly at the Grog drinking battle so I wasnt able to replace my grog with the fake-grog :-/
