What people should know is if you choose the gift option (under personal) and send directly from a checking account, there are no fees if from the US. You can also, if you want, eat the fee yourself, if you choose the gift option and pay via credit card.

My feelings on The Demon Rush

So Breakdown gave me the great idea of using any extra money to pay for prizes and shipping (all of those stamps last year). I don't think anyone will have any objections to this idea, but I'm just putting this out there anyway.

bah, Paypal takes out the same fee if the transfer involves a different currency. Gave up trying to dodge it and just ate the fee myself.
Also I accidently sent without typing up a message so you got a default one with a Swedish header, although I sent $244 instead of $241 so you'll be able to spot my payment anyways.

Also, it would appear I can't bring my projector according to that contract... Unless it's possible to pre-approve it. =[

EDIT: Though it seems they've been very cool so far, something about contracts sets off my anal-retention alarm... Although maybe I'm just being paranoid. We should probably make double-damn sure we're allowed to stream video with our own capture devices, just in case they don't put "charity event involving video games" and "wired internet" together the right way. "Oh, they're bringing in these newfangled video game systems that hook up to our intarwebs" instead of "This is a charity event that is being broadcast over our internet" tends to happen, which will lead to "HURR DURR 8-DAY SDA LOCK-IN!".

I'm pretty sure Mike has that covered with the contract. He'll most likely mention every detail for it in the contract, show someone who's helping him work on it to proofread, and then submit it in. I'm glad I can at least bring my laptop though.

Carc, I asked Boniene about that a/v line, and she said bringing our own a/v gear was no problem, it's already approved. Also, there's a security guard at night during the curfew; we just go through him if we want to go out.

I just wanted to say that so far I've received over 6k for the deposit, so we're well over the 25% minimum. Thank you everyone who paid in full!

I'll be depositing the final check(s) and transferring funds from my Paypal account tomorrow, so anything given to me after Wednesday won't be used for the initial deposit, but for the final payment at the beginning of December.

If what I said above just confused you. Don't worry about it, because it makes no difference for payment.

Ark: I haven't received your check yet, so I'm expecting it to come tomorrow.

Okay first round of payments for the deposits have been tallied to..$.6302.25! That means we've covered over half of the cost in the first round of payments, which is great, because it means people who are short on money now can just pay later.

I'll be paying the deposit next Monday in person.

BTW, I know I put some of you who mailed checks in the bum list, but I can't be sure until I see the check myself.
