My problem is that I have a good graphics card that I don't want to replace but it doesn't have video input, so I need an alternative means of capturing runs. VHS is a no-no, as I live in PAL territory where it's hard to find a VCR that records NTSC. Are there any decent PCI video capture cards that anyone can reccomend? I don't want to spend a fortune on it, but I don't particularly want crap picture quality either, so something in between would be good.

Thanks

you can try entering 'bt878' in froogle.google.com, as that seems to be the most popular chipset, and specify a price range. www.epinions.com is a good place to find product reviews.

there are also these TV card manufacturers' sites you can look at: www.lifeview.com and www.hauppauge.com

there should be a pretty good product at ~$50.

edit: this card looks nice.

the card itself won't record stereo sound but you can easily just use your sound card's line-in for recording stereo.
