The word from nate is that I can't work around this, which I understand and respect. I'll probably end up with finishing it casually sometime soon, or completely redoing it sometime later. After all, there are a lot of things that I discovered or were contributed by others that would have significantly improved my time anyway. This is my chance to make it a tighter run that I'd be a lot more proud to submit, considering how much better I've gotten over the course of running it.

But at least in the next couple of days or weeks, my heart just isn't in it. I think I'll go for that Chain of Memories run next. Watch out, Drazerk!

I'm so sorry to hear this man, I for one was really entranced to see how far you could push the time, but I promise to contribute and criticque your future segments of this whether it's a new run or just finishing this up. Best of luck with CoM man.

Posting to say the Scene of Fire during the Pete fight is not the best place to gain Trinity Limit hits. Instead it's Mickey's House before you save the Cornerstone. You gotta do it pretty quick though. First defeat the starting group of Rapid Thrusters, then kill off the Shadows that appear after to spawn the last set of Rapid Thrusters. NOW use Trinity Limit. I just got 409 hits from this fight alone. The reason is because the black hole and the furniture all count as targets.

Even better. If you combine this with the Scene of Fire from the Pete fight, you get even more hits. I actually messed up my Trinity Limit, but I was able to hit 500 hits exactly thanks to the 409 hits.

The more I mess around the more I learn more about this glitch. Previous number of hits are important too because I haven't been able to break the 400 mark without having a decently high hit count before the Scene of Fire part.

Post run crash, I decided that outside of a small amount of CoM and MM9 practice, I was taking a break from speedrunning. For the past couple of weeks I've been using my now wii compatable internet to play a few nes/snes konami classics for the first time on the virtual console.

Then suddenly, as I was playing through the Haunted Ship level of Caslevania 3: Dracula's Curse, it hit me just as hard as the edge of the screen hit Grant as he fell off the ceiling:

I miss this game. I miss my 100% run. And goddamn it. I'm going to finish this thing, one way or another. SDA will get the better version of my run someday, but this weekend I'm going to try and get a few good segments in.

One other thing. I guess its finally time to reveal my secret. I have never before completed 100% of this game. While I've done quite a few things (all worlds, hades paradox, sephiroth for example) on separate playthroughs, I have never gotten 100% on one file, and even the things I had done I hadn't done recently. How I've managed to get this far and how I expected to finish strong was built solely on my extensive research and theory crafting. Now its time to break some ground.

Mini games will be done sometime during synthesis. Some are faster with Fenrir, so those will be left for after I get it. Every cup save Pain and Panic is left, as is sephiroth and all the synth farming. Hundred Acre Wood isn't finished either, but now that I have my growth abilities, the Expotition should be done very quickly.

The next segment is Saix Luxord Xemnas 1, then Titan Cup, then synth farming in Olympus Coliseum (blazing crystals, lucid crystals, blazing shards, stones, lightning stones), then Space Paranoids 2 (lightning crystals, elixirs, light cycle round 2) then wisdom leveling in timeless river (Frost stones, power shards, bright and dark shards), then Valor leveling there or somewhere else. I'll probably go to Agrabah next (blazing gems, power stones, frost gems, Chasm of Challenges 2, Magic Carpet rail shooter 2, skateboarding), Then hit up beasts castle (Dark Gems, Power Crystals), TWTNW (Stones, Crystals, Gems (Screw you 4 assasins in the entire game), Dense stones, gems, serenity crystals), Hollow Bastion (Lucid Gems, Energy Crystals, Skateboarding) Halloween town (Lucid Stones, some lucid shards, present minigame), Olympus Round 2 (clean up lucid shards, finish Goddess of fate and Cerberus if I have to, do the pot minigame), a brief trip to Land of Dragons (Frost Shards, Dark Crystals) Pride lands (Power gems, frost crystals, and hopefully by this point I have 53 magic so I can power level and get lightning shards, and have enough to get 1000 materials), Sephiroth, Twilight town (Treasure chest cleanup, Twilight Shards, all the twilight town miginames...), Finish Hundred Acre Wood, Go to Port Royal for the sole purpose of skateboarding, synthesize everything, Paradox Cups, Final Bosses.

Alright, I'm sorry I haven't been posting in forever, but I guess I wanted to wait until my run finally made it to YouTube without any hiccups. But yeah...

There's my new PB, 4:23:20. It can still be improved, so I'm planning on working on that in the near future. If I can get sub 4:22 or sub 4:21, I'll be satisfied with this run. Let me see if I can run down the mistakes I made.

- I lost about 30 seconds in Beast's Castle I because my fight against Thresholder and Possessor went south and I needed to use the Save Point to save my Drive. The run almost ended right there. I lost more time against Beast because the RC whiffed 3 times. >_>
- I lost another 30 seconds in Agrabah II because my thunder finisher missed and I was stuck in the other dimension until I could finish him off. That was pretty annoying.
- I lost more time in Land of Dragons II because I was a ditz and forgot to equip Ogre Shield to Goofy. Had I done that, the Storm Rider fight would've gone perfectly.
- Another 30 seconds in Twilight Town III because I was a complete idiot and decided not to continue my Magnega + Explosion combos in the fight alongside Axel.
- I have no clue how much time I lost in TWTNW. I was too quick and got turned into a die against Luxord. I also couldn't get the 1-cycle against Saix because he somehow magnetized himself to the side of the wall and Goofy got caught in the wall every single time.

Also, I feel really bad for not mentioning the new glitch/trick I found a while back. I'll try to post a video explaining how it works at some point.

Well nothing new to report on the J version. I've taken a bit of a break to finish off BBSFM(Almost there. Just need Aqua and Ven to beat Vanitas Remnant, MF, and No Heart, and do the Secret Episode or w/e it is in BBSFM). Plus Rising.

Oh, and you should submit. We need a new KH2 run. Badly. If you improve this it is very easy to update the submission, especially if it hasn't been verified, at least as far as I understand.

Edit: Lol Axel 1 music. My disc is screwed up, so it does weird things with the instrumentation sometimes too.

I swear, if you won't submit, and spike won't submit...It's not coming from me because I can't SS a game that isn't Chain of Memories. Its not like I don't know this game, I just don't want to subject myself to a 4 hour SS unless I have to.

Edit: Also, that glitch! You weren't kidding; that's some amazing stuff. Certainly gives master form route the edge it needs to be better.

Hey Bloody, just wanted to congratulate you on the new WR. Run was awesome man, and I'll start picking up the Master Route for the upcoming Easter Marathon.

My only question is how did you end up having enough munnie for 16 Ethers at the end? I can only ever buy 11 and I didn't notice any reason you would have so much extra cash.

While you level Master Form, you actually get about 100 munny every Carousel spin. So with 7 or so spins, that's like 700~ munny, which gets you around 4~ extra Ethers. It's really cool. Smiley

So yeah, a couple new things to upload.

So yeah, this gives you a semi-consistent way to save 30 seconds on Vivi. If Vivi jumps out of the corner, you probably will lose 5 seconds or possibly more, but if Vivi stays in the corner, that's essentially a guarantee 30 second save.

And here's the Master Form glitch tutorial that I promised I'd make. Hopefully it's straightforward enough, if you have questions/theories go ahead. Btw, if anyone finds a good area to use this glitch, let me know, because I haven't been able to find many areas besides the fight alongside Mickey and the Sniper fight in Land of Dragons. This glitch might have more use in 100%, so there's also that.
