This is one of my fave games of all time, and I recently got it on PC again.

Will be using Fraps to record, will start and end recording at each level.

Think this will be submitted after I've finished?

Speed is the key.

Depends on you, if you make a good run and decides to submit it, then it'll get up on the site sooner or later.

Also, I suggest that you read this, if you haven't done so already: http://speeddemosarchive.com/RecordingFAQ.html

About compressing and such.
Haha, thanks, will read now Smiley

Should be fun uploading all the movies at 10kb/s  Tongue

But most levels wont go over the 15 minute mark

Might want to register to the forums too Grin
Speed is the key.
Wow, you're going fast. Shocked

Just make sure that you don't miss something like a shortcut or speed-trick.  Grin
Speed is the key.
Part 1 was very good. I still think that you can improve it with some practice.  Wink

Keep going.
i LOVE this game.

really nice to see a speedrun of this game is happening.

yeah part1 was nice, still some improvements can be made i think. e.g the too early jumping on the elevator.
I think there was someone else running this game...but whatever, he dissapeared and i still wanna see a run of this done. Keep going, i'll sure watch it all once done  Grin

Too bad I got rid of my copy, because I could help you with speed tricks (I have no intention of running it), but I would like to see it. First part is good, could be faster, but damn was it fast. Great start!

Good luck! Unfortunately, I never found any speed tricks, so you're on your own, but if I recall there weren't many besides running past enemies, and I don't know how feasible that is.
I was thinking of running this game on the PlayStation. I think that it differs enough from the PC version to be it's own run, so here are the first 4 levels done pretty fast if you want to steal some of my techniques.

I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
I enjoyed watching those - brings back some good memories. Keep 'em coming and keep up the good work!

Please wait 45 seconds my ass MegaUpload. Besides that, these are pretty good, brings back memories.
This was probably the first game I ever tried to speedrun. I remember playing the demo over and over again, anticipating the arrival of the full game and the film. I started doing the first level faster and faster in every way possible. A person who played the demo before looked at me and said, "Damn you're going fast!". That day and the next, I basically tried to speedrun every game on the comp, like Outcast and Prince of Persia. Not recording or timing though. True story.

P.S. Outcast hasn't been speedrun yet, why is that?
The Unreal Authority.
I just watched the first video posted so maybe you are already doing this, but it seems like you take forever to rotate after you push a button. Especially down the caged coridors. Why not start to backpedal and quickly flip around or strafe instead of standing still and rotating? That was my only complaint. Other then that it looks fast!
great runs, really nice to see.

thought i noticed you missed the last lever in the end in part 4 Roll Eyes
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
So what's the progress now on this run?
