Here we GO!!!
Hey! I just join this site because I plan on speed running a game that I have been playing nonstop, meaning that I beat this game like 2 to 3 times a day. Some of you might have seen me on the Sonic Center and I might do a new save speed run for Sonic 4 EP1 if I really want to.
Thought I better stop in and say Hello to everyone. I've been casually speed running games for awhile now and am looking to get a bit more serious about it. I also have been watching streams and vids of many of the speed runs/runners on this site for a long long time and figured I should stop lurking so hard.
aka forte27
Hello everyone.  Longtime lurker, but first time poster here.  I've always had an interest in speed running, but have never actually considered planning a run until recently.  As my username and avatar might suggest, I'm a big Megaman fan, and I hope to plan and stream some Battle Network speed runs, starting with MMBN6: Gregar.  Hopefully, you'll see me posting a new topic for the game in the near future, because I didn't see one when I checked earlier.  I look forward to working with you all.
Hello! My name's Colin.

I've been following SDA for a long time but only now made an account on the forums. I'm currently studying for an undergraduate degree in Computer Science. I've never submitted any speedruns but I may do so in the future.
Only Offense Will Survive
Hey there.

I was inactive for a long time but I decided to become more active here from now on. I am from Germany and I already have a speedrun here on Speed Demos Archive (Resident Evil 4 Assignment Ada) since 2007. My current projects are Doom 3 (SS - sub 1:30) and Resident Evil 4 (Segmented - 1:28:xx).
I AM FUCKED ANGRY
sunblade. Re4 I know you are one of the runner.
Doom 3 is new for me that you play this game, yeah run this baby.
I do test currently the bfg edition and it sucks you can not skip any video in the newer version of doom3.
Good Luck
Only Offense Will Survive
I would not recommend the BFG Edition for speedrunning, really. They fixed everything and that cutscene stuff is annoying as well. Actually you need a few minutes for Mars City but now you need almost ten minutes lol.

Writing this on a phone is going to be a pain. But hello everybody I am ThaRixer, I have been doing let's plays for 3 years and still going! Currently though I have been enjoying speedruns a lot more though. I am running crash bandicoot 2 and Jak 3 and I have been doing that for a while, but i never thought about introducing my self. I am planning to go to the upcoming esa Smiley so I'll see you there if you are coming too Smiley
Hey guys! My name is Somsai, and I plan on speed running Brave Fencer Musashi. I stream random games time to time, but I'm mainly focused toward BFM. Wish me luck!
...Wha?
Hey people. New to the site, but eager to get into some speedrunning.
Hello Folks, Just figuring out all this interesting stuff and I just joined the board after completion of Holy Diver and all.

I Run a few games, but I am relatively new to speed running games myself. Not to say I haven't watched a ton of runs before though.  Hope to see everyone around both here & on Live streams of speed running.
Procrastination Nation!
Hi,

I've been around here since before the forum changes.  I stopped posting for a couple years because I just didn't have much to say.  I never posted on this thread till now haha.

Anyways, hello world!
I want to say hello and welcome to Speed Demos Archive, one of the best Speedrunning sites on the Internet! I'm Egg McMuffin and I have been here since February 10th of this year. I rarely post on the forums but I do make my presence known.
I've been a speedrunning enthusiast for some time but never bothered to make a forums account. I most enjoy runs of the consoles of my childhood, the PS1, PS2, N64, and Gamecube. I am currently working on a speedrun for Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

I'm a 20-year-old computer science major from Louisiana named Caleb.
Hello im Skyline2990, real name is Chris, i've been watching alot of speedruns from most of the streamers and are planning to learn speedruns mainly in RPG category and maybe others. I have been on consoles since i was very young and onwards in my life, i mainly have PS2, PS3, Wii and PC
My names Logan, I'm 17 years old and have been a part of SDA since June 2012 and am just now starting to be more active.

I am Red Arremer, and I've decided I'd want to pick up speedrunning again - I never recorded anything, but a few years back, I used to do casual speedruns.
I am (almost) 25, from Vienna, Austria.

The game I'm currently looking into is Arcade's Revenge.

Some of you guys might've already run into me on various speedrunning streams on Twitch, especially during the Spooktacular, so hi to y'all who did!
Also dropping in to say hi to everyone, new on forum but I've been watching quite a few speedruns on SDA youtube/site for quite a long time.

Never had the balls to actually create an account and join in on the discussion, but I've kind of gotten back into speedruns.

But yeah, hi!
Hi everyone. I've been a fan of TASvideos and SDA for years now, and first got into speedrunning thanks to marshmallow's fantastic Super Metroid speedrun FAQ about 10 years ago or more. I'm not terribly good at speedrunning yet, but I want to attain a record speedrun at least once, just to say I've done it. Smiley If any of you are Metroid Zero Mission fans, you'll probably start seeing more of me, as I love that game and I think its speedrunning potential is great. I'm also into Castlevania and Mega Man Zero, though I'm not as skilled at those for speed. You may see a run from me of Zelda: Oracle of Ages, too. It depends on how fast it can _really_ be beaten.

Here's hoping I've found a community I can fit in with. Cheesy

Hey everyone. My username is basically what I got when my friend slammed his head into the keyboard, and is pronounced by saying each of the letters in order.

I study math(Look, my avatar is a 24-cell what else do you expect) and physics, and I enjoy a great number of video games (most of which I can't do justice to here). Some series I like followed by my favorite game in the series:
Mega Man: 9 is my favorite, and the current run of it is my favorite of all the runs I've seen here. If you wan't to talk X, the first one is the best, and I like the 4th Zero game best of that series.
Sonic: Sonic Heroes, with an honorable mention to SA2B
Metroid: I'm partial to Prime I and Fusion
Pokemon: 3rd Gen, Ruby, Emerald, the like
Final Fantasy: 4 and 6
Fire Emblem: 7 (The first one released in the US)
TLoZelda: Wind Waker
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories followed by 2
Obscure games I like(I've never heard anyone not connected to me mention them): Dragon Blade: Wrath of Fire, Radiant Historia, Eragon for the GBA to name a few.

I joined the site because It saddens me greatly that there doesn't exist a Sora run of Chain of Memories on the site, and I'm determined and skilled enough to change that. However, I am currently working on a KH2 100% run to get to know some people here, go for a bounty, and break into the speedrunning/SDA submission process. You can see segments as I post them on the KH2 forums.

My skills tend to be more strategy oriented, so I'm happy to talk strategy with anyone about any game I've played, but for a game like sonic heroes or MM9, I'll probably never even get close enough is skill to rival the times here. So I'll attempt to expand the site by providing some original runs. That's all for now. Surf the forums of any of the games I mentioned and you'll probably find me there.
Hey folks, I'm Pat. I'm here to take a stab at a Super Mario 3d Land run. I've watched a lot of amazing runs on this site, and I hope to be able to add to them.
Glad my fanboy lvls aren't THIS high
I think it's long since time that I've done this, so here I go, I guess. Tongue

Anyway, allow me to fully introduce myself.  My full alias is "The First Generation Lord" Vucious Apollo Creed.  However, some of you may already know my through my Twitch account, "LVCreed," as the "SDA Stream Drifter."  (At least you now know what the "L" and the "V" stand for.)  I had this alias since high school and still sticks with me in adulthood.  So you can call me "Vucious", "LV", "Creed" or whatever feels comfortable to you.

I've been lurking around SDA since probably about my junior years in college casually watching runs to pass time, so maybe around 2005/2006.  Of course, at that time, I never thought about speed running and didn't think I had the abilities to do it.  However, the marathons began, then the participations in some of the chats in various Twitch channels, and then, I've finally buckled down into actually starting to try and do speed runs since early this year... and I couldn't be happier.

As of this moment, I plan to be yet another in a long line of "Mega Man" styled runners since that is my favorite gaming series.  Right now I officially only run what I call one of the "Speed Run Gateway Drugs," Mega Man X (Current PB: 38:33 - SDA Timing Conventions, 100%, X Collection) and what has become my trademark game, the Mega Man styled flash web doujin game, Rokko Chan (Current PB: 22:19, In-Game; have yet to calculate RTA, blame abject laziness on that).  I hope to get into more games of similar gameplay which may include the recently released Rosenkreuzstilette Freudenstachel and MAYBE Mega Man X7.  I might also do other games for kicks if the interest picks up and I get the necessary materials to do them.

I hope my stay here will be long and fun.  So from here on out, we'll just see what happens now, shall we?
