Hello, I've been watching SDA runs for a while, but I would like to run MGS: Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain in the later months.  So I would like to meet some MGS runners.
Speedrunners Unite !
Hello my fellow Gamers and Speedrunners, I am Firefalcons and I've been speedrunning for almost 9 months now, I've first discovered speedrunning 2 years ago while watching AGDQ 2012,It has inspired me to speedrun on my own, My records stand out of now:
Super Mario 64 (16 Star): 21:24
Super Mario 64 (70 Star): 1:15:01
Super Mario Sunshine any %: 1:58:21
I do plan to speedrun on more games, Unfortunately i am very busy as i am a student in my final year in high school, One day i would love to go to AGDQ/SGDQ myself and to meet some of my inspirations there !
Hi everyone! I'm Nick, I've been checking out the GDQ marathons since AGDQ 2013, and occasionally pop into a few streams to watch and say hi. I don't really speedrun anything at the moment but I'd like to pick up a few things to run eventually such as Doom 64, Super Metroid, Spindizzy Worlds, and Faceball 2000 to name some. I'm going to try and make it to this year's SGDQ with a couple of friends so I can meet some of you guys in person, I'd really love to be a part of this community. Cheesy
Hey everyone! I'm Keith, I've been speedrunning for awhile now. Mostly Thief: TDP/Gold/DS/2014 and some in Hotline Miami. I can't get enough of speedrunning! Would love to be apart of the community.
Hello everyone! I'm Rodriguezjr and I've been aware of the Speedrunning community for a very long time since watching old Youtube speedruns back in like 2006/2007. Although, it wasn't until a couple years back where I used to watch Funkdoc's streams regularly that gave me more exposure to the community and as well as watching some of the past GDQ marathons. Recently, I've been doing a lot of IL attempts for fun in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze as I'm currently really into the game, and I also do plan on getting into Time Trials on Mario Kart 8 since I used to be pretty competitive online with the Mario Kart series in the past.
Im cameron,

I am new to SDA, but not new to speed running in general.
I hold 3 records for Playstation All-stars, hoping that the world could notice the game more.

I hope to get to know the community a bit more better in the coming years and enjoy my life.
Hello! I'm Sean, or Lumosat as the Internet knows me. I'm a junior in high school and I've been interested in speed running for the last couple of years. I've been working on my Tony Hawk Pro Skater N64 speed run for like 6 months and I'm hoping to set the world record within the next 6 months Tongue it's basically my dream to run a game at a games done quick event.

Other than that, I write stories and watch anime and critique movies in my spare time. Pleased to meet ya.
Good morning everyone,
I'm the new guy in town and would like to introduce myself.

20 years old, from Germany and I after following speedrun-livestreams for some time I now want to get into it myself.
I want to start "running" Pokemon Blue/Red casually and I'm looking for a place to start.
Do You Even Vengeance?
Hello there,

Name is Dom from New England. Recently I came across AGDQ and speedrunning (in general) and immediately got interested in speed running games. It actually took me a while to find the first game I wanted to speedrun and I eventually settled on  F.E.A.R. 3 for the PC on Recruit difficulty (mainly because of the enemy's accuracy decrease and larger time frame it takes to die) as Point Man. I haven't seen that game run a lot so I thought it would be a great place to start. So far I can do mission 1 in under 5:30.

I hope this becomes a fun and memorable experience in my life. Nice meeting you all!

Mr. Californithon
Well, I'd like to start by airing my grievances about Mr. Dom right above this comment, I've gone by JYochem94 for a few years on a number of different sites but lately I've wanted to change my username (at least for twitch) to ItalianStallion. And this dude beats me to the punch by less than two hours.

ANYWAYS.

I'm Jeff! Just for reference that's the J, with Yochem being my last name. Lot's of people mispronounce it, it's pronounced "YO-Kum". uh..... I've played video games like forever. I first found out about this mess watching the most incredible 19 minute run of Ocarina of Time at SGDQ last year. Ever since then I've loved everything about speedrunning. I watched a bunch of archived stuff over the summer and was super excited to finally get to watch AGDQ LIVE this past January. The event was so amazing, that it inspired me to try to speedrun something myself. So I picked one of my favorite games of all time, Simpsons Hit & Run. I actually haven't started practicing yet, I actually forgot that was the game I wanted to run until just an hour ago. Watching the event in class one day, I found out a friend of mine was as into it as I was, he actually runs Ocarina of Time. He's been teaching me how to do glitches on it, and it's so damn satisfying to me when I pull one off. Recently we were hanging out and we played some Super Mario 3D world, and noticed that co op had countless benefits where we could just tear through levels lightning quick, so we're working on that occasionally. I really want to just dive headfirst into this community, so I guess this is the best place to start!!

Hey everyone! Name's Tad and it's been around a year of lerking on the forums and twitch that I've decided to take up speedrunning. I've had some time with SM 64 with a 20~ for 16 lbljless.
I'm a pc gamer at heart but console on a 64 for this. 680 geforce with razer mouse and keyboard. Dual monitor 22". I'm pretty much a bum and am on a game 90% of the time.
Steam: Aktion Bastrd
Hey everybody! My name's Jared and I've been a watcher of speedruns for a few years now. The recent posts on the front page of the site have inspired me to try some speedrunning of my own. I have spent most of my life having fun playing video games, but playing games normally has gotten boring recently.  I have no idea what game I want to run, but it will most likely be a Playstation 2 game, cause I love that system.
Hi! My name is Super (It's actually Michael). I speedrun mostly console games. I'm currently working on runs in N+ and Portal: Still Alive on XBLA. I also run Super Meat Boy but i'm really bad. I first got into speedrunning when I played the first 5 levels of "Stardash" on my iPod. I knew what speedrunning meant but never bothered to actually look into it, until now. Because I worked hard to get my time from 4 minutes down to 1:25.81. I wanted to know if anybody was faster. So I searched "Stardash speedrun" on youtube and nothing showed up. But in the results I saw one of AndrewG's videos and that led me to his channel were I saw his 4:58.56 warps run. Ever since then I was hooked. I currently follow at least 70 speedrunners on twitch. I love Source games, and like to speedrun iOS games for fun. Looking forward to beating the WR's in both N+ and Portal on console. My (only) 2 years of speedrunning have been allot of fun, looking forward to the future of this awesome hobby.
Hello, My name is James and I am working on running Champions: Return to Arms on the ps2.
Hello, long time gamer, new into speed running. Been following the marathons on twitch, very impressed. I used to be involved with the rhythm game community years ago. That died out. Ive known about speed running for several years, just never thought I would get into it. Then, BAM, here I am, lol. Im working on several runs, its just hard to beat all these amazing times. Darkwing Duck's Zelda was my motivation.
it's me waldfield
Hi everybody!  I am new here.
Hello all, my name is Phatzo, and i'm a DJ for the site "Magic Ninja Radio" I started getting into speed runs about a year ago, after stumbling upon Carcinogen's Resident Evil runs at AGDQ 2011. Since then i've been speedrunning Resident Evil 3, trying to get a decent time (best time 2+ hours)
ALL THE WR WILL BE MINE MUHAHAHAHAAH
hello i'm chavez bridgen and i been trying to get in to speed running for a long time now

as of right now i suck at .... ALL games on a speed running level but i plan to get better and take some WR's

all so i been looking in to lots of TAS stuff but still know nothing about it

Hey guys!

I just joined today because I re-watched a couple of Dark Souls speed runs in anticipation for Dark Souls 2.
I have been a speed runner myself but the speed runs I've seen amaze me every time. So this time I figured I'd give it a try myself. So far I am trying to get consistent at the first linear part of Dark Souls 1 and I got a run at about 17 minutes with only 1 death. And that has taken me 2 days to get down Cheesy

So I hope I can post it and maybe meet other noobs like me or perhaps join an SDA meetup some day :3
Hello everyone
I just join because, I start trying to speedrun some games (Actualy Cthulhu Saves the World, I have more in project)

I don't realy know what to say about myself, if you have questions just ask.
You're all locked out of my paperbag
Hello you!
I'm Xnqiq (pronounced 'bibux' but hell, don't listen to this guy, do as you want) and I've been casually speed running some 2D PC games for a while.
I recently made a pretty decent run of 'The Floor is Jelly' by Ian Snyder (22:14) and so wanted to do this in a more 'serious' way, and that's why I'm here!

And a little about me, well... I'm a french guy learning game design and I love finding bugs, glitches and alternate paths, even when they're of no use in a speedrun! o/

hello, my name is Ziyad and I'm from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I found Speed Runs Live by chance on Twitch which then lead me here. I was never in to speed running except for casual runs for in game challenges like Metal Gear Solid. After watching some runs for a few months on AGDQ I decided to do a run on The Godfather since I'm sure no one has done it and I enjoy replaying the game countless times.
