Hi all, I'm Hale_

My real name is Derek. I decided to join here after watching Zoast's run of Super Metroid during SGDQ. An amazing run. My best time is still only 1:06 GT with lots of room for improvement. I've really only speed run super metroid as its the one game I enjoyed watching/playing the most as a kid.
Yo guys!

I was pretty inspired by Cosmo's any% ocarina of time run back in AGDQ 2013, and since then I've watched far too many VODs of the other runs, both from then and SGDQ. I'm currently planning to run the remake of La-Mulana, partly because it's an amazing game, and partly because someone wrote a very handy guide to the route used Smiley
Hello everyone at sda! I'm sageamagoo, and I plan on becoming a part of the speedrunning community.

Watching AGDQ 2013 inspired me to take speedrunning seriously. I started out learning the rba and no rba/ww routs for oot, but I haven't had any spectacular times. I tried tasing gc games for a while, but quickly learned how much I hated luck manipulation. So I stuck with real-time speedruns, but for the longest time, I found nothing particularly fun to do. Recently, though, I discovered that Legacy of Time, a game I adored greatly way back when, could be taken to a whole new level when aiming for fastest time.

So I find myself here, soon to make a topic and maybe get others into doing the game. I'll submit my run once I get a time I'm happy with, and maybe pick up a few more games along the way. Tasing has made me a good route planner, and that skill will come in handy for my future endeavour.
Phantom renegade.
Hm..

Hello, I m new here. I've been watching speed runs for about 2 or 3 years now. And I've been considering running just never really got around to it. I thought I'd sign up and get started. Since there's no time like the present. Not much to say I've been in nyc my whole life and soon I start college. I also love video games. You may or may not know ArticRcadeWave that entity is I. Blah.

Making dem plays
Hey everyone! My real name is Christian and I am a 17 (soon 18 at the end of the month) year old high school student who has been gaming sense I was 3 when my dad introduced me to Road Rage 3 on the Sega Genesis. I have been watching speed runs for the past year or so now and decided now that I will take part and join this community.

The first game I have decided to start practicing, and hopefully one day be the record that is on the side, is Tony Hawk Pro Skater. It is a nice and sort run, which is good for an introduction to speed running to get me started.

In the end I just hope to start streaming, meet new people, and just have fun enjoying games with others that appreciate them in the same way that I do!
Hello every-nyan~!

I'm new to this site, been watching speedruns for a long while now. I play primarily JRPGs and fighting games (part of the anime FGC) and was looking into getting into speed runs as a sort of side hobby (seems intense). I currently stream JRPGs (normal playthroughs, no speed run) and am a full time college student. It's nice to meet all of you!
Good SADX Run sometime? :)
Hi everyone! My name is Will, and I couldn't watch enough speedruns. I started and learned about SDA when I saw ZFG's 21:45 OoT run. I was super excited. Currently I am trying to get a decent time on Sonic Adventure (XBLA Version). I always loved this game and I have 23rd on Leaderboards for Sky Deck and some other double digit times for Knuckles. So I decided to start running it and my first run was a no reset just to get splits. My time was 1:33:34.7, which would have been about 1:01 except that I failed Egg Viper HARD a ton. Of course I'm going to keep running that, and I am going to keep learning the Any% No RBA/WW OoT run. I'm solid on the Vine Clip and everything until ZL Cutscene Skip. However I was watching someone and he was practicing a strat that might get me going again on it, so we will see.

Anyways, I've been inspired by Cosmo, ZFG, and alot of you guys. Hopefully I get good enough at SA and/or my OoT route to start doing some Races on SRL. I love watching streams on there, and I've always had a passion for gaming and technology so I hope to stick around! Cheesy
Good SADX Run sometime? :)
Update: Just did a Sonic Adventure Run, improved to 1:05:48.2! I know it's not great, and I skip a few of the tricks but I'll definitely be improving it.

I wear obscurity like a cloak
Hello, I run Billy Hatcher any%. I started back in January after AGDQ 2013. First run time was 3:01:xx. Was a little disappointed at the time to have done so poorly, but I pushed on. The second run felt great. It was nice to improve my time down to 1:48:xx. After I got sub 1:35 I stopped for a few months because in a way I felt alone. I was running the game, but only I could see. In June I finally got streaming equipment so I got more serious again. Today, I hold a PB of 1:25:58 and I look forward to when I improve to the point where I can break 1:20 and maybe even the WR 1:17:01.
You call this archaeology?
Hey everyone, I'm indykenobi!

I mostly speedrun Skyward Sword, any% and 100%, but I also do Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, along with a few other games.  I've been lurking here for nearly six years and watching all the marathons, and finally decided to sign up!
Hi! I watched SGDQ '13 and was really inspired to get into speed running, but I'm completely new to the community and have no idea where to start.  I learned a few of the glitches for 16-star SM64 a while ago, but haven't gotten around to learning the rest and actually going through runs. I'm wanting to do that soon, and also figure out how to run Dragon Quest VIII and Pikmin 2/3!

Hello I'm liger0jps and I'm new to speedrunning but I do practice with a few game that I like. Hopefully I'll be able to submit them as well. Big shoutout to Sinister1, Funkdoc, PJ, Trihex, MechaRichter cause watching them got me into speedruning. Hopefully I get to be the record holder for one of the games I speedrun.
Hello SDA User's I'm TempestX2000 and I mainly speedrun Duke Nukem Time To Kill in a Segmented run. My other projects are Contra III in a Single Segment and the secret path run of Contra Hard Corps. I started speedrunning since this year. Smiley
from PAListan
Hello TempestX2000 nice to see you here on SDA ^^
Have fun
Hey exe,

thank you Smiley
Hello SDA!  I go by the moniker HiddenDistance.  I've grown in interest in speedrunning & the community from watching AGDQ, and from there watching twitch channels & some record runs on the site.  Currently I've been speedrunning the La-Mulana Remake on PC in a single-segment, any% run.

My current best is sporting a 1:49 finish time, but there's plenty of opportunity to improve on that both in terms of execution & route, and that's exactly why I'm here.
I'm not sure exactly what to write here.

I am the WR holder in a Famicom game called "Nazo no Murasamejou".
I am also working on completing my "Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness" speedrun (it's 99% done).

I don't bite.
I'll get you a satanic mechanic.
Hi everybody ^^

My name is Roy i am 23 and I live in Holland. I am a graphic designer, mostly for commercial vehicles.

I have been watching speedruns for a few years now and been doing them myself for about 6 months.
and started streaming myself since yesterday

I have a big collection of  nes(+/-90) and snes(+/-30) games and I want to try speedrunning some of them.
I started speedrunning castlevania for the nes (love the series) and got good at it after completing more nes games
i looked at my Shaddow Warriors cartridge aka Ninja Gaiden (Since i am dutch all games i own are pal) and wondered
Am i 8 bit enough for Ninja Gaiden o.O?

After 4 hours and 47 minutes i finally beat the monster for the first time!
And i loved the game, I have been practicing the game since then and i am aiming high for the world record Cheesy
My current Personal best is 14:29 so im only a minute off Smiley
I love this game and would love to race people in the future

Most speedrunners use the ntsc or jp version of games but again since im dutch i dont own these games,
i want to play pal games for speedrunning.

Games i want to play after Shaddow Warriors/Ninja gaiden are: the sequel shadow warriors 2, Zelda alltp (childhood favorite) and Terranigma.

so yeah thats about it, i hope i can have a good time in this community.
And if you are interested in Shadow Warriors/Ninja gaiden and my long road to the world record check out my stream http://www.twitch.tv/zombieblargh

Hi all Cheesy

From what I can tell from the SDA map I'm the first Aussie to sign up? Smiley

I've had an interest in speedrunning mainly due to how gamebreaking it can be. The idea of glitching into the unknown and using it to the players advantage gives me a thrill!
Looking to do some runs of Super Mario 64 0 stars, Ocarina of Time 3D (first that I know of) and maybe Banjo Kazooie or Twilight Princess.
(user is banned)
I am the undoing
God damn it Dugongue.
Hey guys! Name is Laon and I'm addicted to the speedruns! I found this SDA site from watching Sagan's run of Yoshi's Island and I couldn't get enough from the speedruns since~

I'm practicing a 3ds OoT speedrun and several Silent Hill ones as well so I hope to contribute to this site soon.
