Ello world, I'd like to introduce myself on these forums. My name is Nathan, I'm 14, and I found SDA about 2 years back. Ever since I've fallen in love with speed runs.

Lately in my free time, I've been trying to get good at speed running some of my favorite games, and I thought joining here might be a good thing to do in some of my spare time besides that. And so here I am now, posting this Smiley
Howdy all!  I'm Mark, and I play blood bowl.  I know a few people IRL that play on your leagues, and they suggested I join up so I can finally satisfy my craving for tournament play.  I'm 27, tall, thin, blue eyes [ladies ;), ] I normally have a kick ass goatee, and I am one of the most relaxed people working a high stress job you'll ever know.  Not much else I can really think to add about myself, except I have an undying hatred of the cold and pants.  Nice to meet all of you!

Hey everyone, I got into speedrunning thanks to Dram55 and his Super Mario World speed runs.  Ive been running Batman Arkham Asylum for the PS3 and only about 25 minutes off the WR for any%.  So hopefully Ill be able to improve upon that.  But mostly I just enjoy streaming and playing games.  My twitch.tv channel is www.twitch.tv/sevenup1203.  I play some casual and alot of SRs.  Thanks
Hello everyone, I am completely new to speed running and got very interested after meeting such runners as Cosmo, runnerguy, and siglemic. I found out about this website from AGDQ and have really admired all that you guys have done. I really am not too sure where to start with speed running but I would very much like to try it and the game I want to speed run is Paper mario, not sure where to find the tips and tricks but hopefully i'll find someone to show me around, thank you all, nice meeting you.
Hi I'm Danny "axe_ninja". I've only just recently really got a grip for speedrunning it wasn't something I was really into until a friend showed me the OoT speedrun on AGDQ.

I have been doing Prince of Persia SoT and recently recorded my first speedrun of it. I wanted to make it in under 3 hours and I managed a 2.46 and I did it all on my own merits and with no look in from any other speedrun videos. I plan to maybe now look at speedruns of PoP SoT to get my time down.

I don't know how 'into' speedruns I'll get, I managed under 15 minutes on the first island of Crash Bandicoot so I'm thinking that I might get something going on in that who knows.

I'll look around the forum for a PoP section or whatever but until then here's my speedrun (yeah I know, even considering the lack of cuts that there are known for the game, it's sloppy still.

Hey y'all, I'm Max. I became interested in speedruns about 4 years ago when I stumbled upon a 16-star SM64 run.  Shortly after that I started doing LetsPlays for a german forum, ran out of ideas which game to play, remembered that SM64 run and thought I should show those folks how to do it.

Since then I've been doing some runs to a lot of games (seg. Fallout 1 & 2, seg. Portal 1 w/ OoB, 16-star SM64, FEZ any%, Keen 5, seg. PokeMon Blue, LoZ: ALttP any% w/ S+Q, LoZ: OoT any%, Antichamber any%) but I've yet to find a game I really like.

So, yeah, hey y'all!

Hey everybody! My name is Caden. Known by my friends as Kitten. Weird nickname for a guy right? Anyway, I haven't really done a lot of speed runs myself, but I do have really good times on the Mass Effect series as well as Mirrors Edge. My only time for Mass Effect 1, (as I have only done one play through was just over 8 hours doing everything. My best 100% time for Mass Effect 2 was 10:47, it wasn't really a speed run though as I was tired and on my 10th playthrough, (I was trying to get all of the achievements and decided to take my time. Still 11 hours isn't bad for a non speed run, eh?). My best ME3 playthrough time is 9:47 doing 100%, and saving everyone I could. I haven't timed Mirrors Edge yet, however, I have that game down to muscle memory, and was originally very high in the leader boards for most of the time trials, (that is until everyone started using the infinite sprint mod. I would also love to do a Knights of the Old Republic speed run. I haven't really done a speed run yet, but my best time on it is under ten hours, including finishing off Dantooine, and several other side missions. I am huge on RPG's and FPS's. and If anyone has a suggestion feel free to ask. I love what the guys at Awesome Games Done Quick are doing, and would love a chance to do a speed run with them.

I love hardcore gaming and Speed Run
Alright, I set up a twitter account. So, if anyone wants to keep track of my speed runs for Mirror's Edge, Mass Effect, and Knights of the Old Republic, add me as @kickalot. Tomorrow I am doing the Mirror's edge Glitchless Passive Aggressive Speed run. I will post videos on my Youtube channel, RetroBlacklist, later on.
Hello everyone!

I'm a new french user in the community. I register to ask some question about speedrun I will try to do. Nowdays I haven't a great experience, only some try in fact but I enjoyed doing them.

See you in other post
Sup guys
Hey.

Wow. This is crowded here. Anyway, let's get to the Introducing...

My name's Marc and as you can see to your left, i'm known online as Morkinson (and my true friends call me Mork). I'm Canadian and I live in Quebec, so I master both english and french. I'm a usually calm dude who tends to totally breakdown when he misses some easy stuff in games; my worst enemy in speedrunning is myself. I am not really consistent and I hope that I can get better by signing up to this forum.

I am 18 and I'm studying to become something like a french teacher or an author. Aside from video games, languages are my greatest passion. I've learned french, english, german and spanish and I know a lot about ancient greek and latin. I don't know why I have so much fun learning this, but eh, do you need a reason to love something ? I don't think so.

I've been watching speedruns for a long time now, but it was after watching almost the entirety of AGDQ'13 (I was so sleep deprived after that...) that I knew how I could renew my love for some games. I'm a big fan of Super Mario World and Silent Hill and i'm really good at these two games. I think I'm gonna try these two games, since the Silent Hill run is really old and that I seriously think that I can beat it. However, I don't think that I could beat anyone at SMW Tongue ! I'm just gonna do it for my personal pleasure... and maybe to show off to my friends Tongue !

I started playing a game that I really like. It's Alien Soldier, a genesis game. This game is so fun and I think that speedrunning it would be a hell of a challenge.

I'm thinking about speedrunning some Pokemon games too, but there is no chance that I can someday beat Werster haha !

By the way, if you want to know more about me, or just talk, feel free to send me a message in whatever language you're the most at ease with. Also, tell me if i'm making too much mistakes Smiley !
Hi there, the name is Dustin (But pretty much everyone calls me Figgy).  I've been lurking around the speedrunning community for about a year now thanks to Klaige and Murph, and have finally decided to get off my lazy bum and post up here.  I've recently gotten some basic streaming gear together and am about to start working towards my first record.  Apart from that, I'll probably be lurking around as usual, doing what I can to help out if possible.  Anyways, I'm not the best at introductions, so I'll just end it here.  It's good to finally post up here, and I'll see everyone in the gaming discussion at some point or another.
Hello, my name is Michel, I'm 19 years old and I live in Brazil.

Just recently found the SDA, but always loved watching Speed runs, I think it's a really fun way to challenge, explore games so look for lower your race time. So finally I decided to start my projects with my favorite games (FF series), I'm packing material immediately begin transmitting Stream, while I'm on intensive practice in two games: Dissidia 012 [duodecim] Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy IV The Complete Collection. I did not think anyone had done Speed runs these games, so I think I can do something interesting. Shocked

Well, I'm open to conversations, if someone wants to exchange an idea enough to send me a message. Wink
Xbox Speedrunner
Hey guys, I just recently discovered this site. I signed up because I want to do a good Prince of Persia Speedrun on xbox. I've posted a few Batman Arkham City WR's on my youtube channel.

Cheers people
Hello SDA! My name is Ian. I'm 24 years old and I started visiting SDA about a year ago. The thing that really got me into speed running was the new Any% run of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. After seeing that I knew that I wanted to be apart of this.
Right now I'm working on my speed run of Gauntlet Legends for the 64. It was one of my favorite games as a kid so I figured, why not?
I hope to contribute in some way to this community. Gaming was getting boring to me before speed running came along. Gaming is exciting to me again and for that I'm grateful.

Hello, I'm currently working on  a Rogue Warrior speedrun, I'll probably submit when I get sub 25. I really like playing bad games and hope to build up a large number of WR's on games nobody's ever heard of.
Grant "LevelZero" & Jordan "Switzr"
Hello everybody! This is Grant "LevelZeroToInfinity" Roach, and I'm here with my good friend Jordan "MrSwitzrland" Trumble, nice to meet you all!

For the most part, I had found SDA long ago in 2009 due to sheer curiousity and wanting to get a little nostolgic with one of my favorite games, Super Mario 64. Ever since then I've been speedrunning Super Mario 64 and many other games thanks to this website. Due to highschool I fell out of it for a while, and it wasn't until early last year that I found the passion in doing it again. I recently got my friend Jordan into the whole scene we'd have been doing Mario 64 & Pokemon Emerald races, Co-oping random games (including single player games such as Donkey Kong 64!), and it wasn't until now that we decided to join SDA as a duo speedrunning team. Of course we do our own games by ourselves, but the projects that have been getting to us at the moment are what makes us a duo.

What we're currently working on right now are: Pokemon Rumble (any% NO CODES, ALL LEVELS)

We hope you enjoy our content as much as we enjoy yours!

~ Grant "LevelZero"

Hello SDA. My name is Zak, I've been interested in speedrunning for a long time and I have enjoyed the SDA charity marathons and various twitch speedrun streams immensely. I'm hoping to have some submissions soon, follow me on twitch.tv/appar1tion if you're interested in keeping up with my progress. My current plan is to do an any% run of Mercenaries for the ps2, so we'll see where that takes me. I hope to see you all around.
Hey everyone, I'm Imabuzzkill! I got into speed running while watching AGDQ 2013 and after that I started looking for games that I would like to learn. I picked up a copy of final fantasy 9 and had a lot of fun casually playing it so I decided to start learning it, Hoping to get through most of the routing/learning by the end of summer but I'm not gonna rush it if it takes longer I'll just continue routing till I'm finished. I want to start streaming my runs/start learning other games for SRL races. Any tips are appreciated and thanks for reading. P.S can paper mario be run with Virtual console or will I have to order and Original?
virtual console is fine (http://speeddemosarchive.com/lang/rules_en.html, under "virtualization")

Hello, I am Eedis, real name is irrelevant; although if it counts, they call me Eedis in real life too. Wink I am 21 and have been married to a beautiful woman for 3 years, we have a 3 year old daughter together and they're the reason I'm even here today. I am in the US Army as a 25N - Nodal Network Systems Operator/Maintainer in which I run a JNN (Joint Network Node) to supply voice and data communications for a brigade sized network. Yeah... I'm the guy people get their internet from down-range. Cheesy Am currently enrolled in college to obtain my Bachelors in Science for Computer Science focusing in Computer Applications Design and Programming. I also enjoy networking and currently have my Net+, A+, and working on CCNA (taking the test May 7th, wish me luck!)

I've always watched speedruns and were always fascinated by them. Just this past weekend, I discovered AGDQ and that's how I found out about SDA. I decided to join because quite honestly, I have no hobbies outside of occasional programming. I really need more hobbies so I plan to make SpeedRunning a new hobby. Cheesy Hopefully. :| Firs tgame I am working on at the moment is Battletoads & Double Dragon and am currently working on getting a recording device for my tv to post a run.
