I think it could lead to some very competitive runs.  You can also have two types of runs - pure speed (rushing through all the levels and not completing all objectives) and 100% (completing all objectives for each level).

There is a 100% THPS2 movie out there, it just isn't on SDA.  It's worth looking for, too.
