Okay guys to start off, this page whoops arse!!! I wanna know how to record using an emulator. The emulator I have is Project 64 (a N64 emulator!!!), any recommended programs I can use to record.
ok, here is how to fix the Win ME problem, back up your data, format your harddrive, throw away, burn, break, blow up etc your ME cd(s) get something else .. just no ME. also any emulator stuff is no good here
You can't submit something done on an emulator to this site. Unless it's just a demo of something cool to do that you want to show to people then you can host it for yourself and post a link, but it won't be coutned as a record or anything.
The only recording software I've used on a computer is Camtasia. It's intended for mouse and GUI demos, and not streaming media such as high-FPS games ... the frames are choppy and quality is blurry, but it can do it's job. I've recorded short clips from both 1964 v0.99 and Project 64 this way and it works well. You can encode with xvid on the fly with it, but even 10 second clips end up being 5mb.
You can also buy an adapter to turn monitor signals into composite and plug it into your VCR. It tends to work better than the recording programs (faster and higher quality to boot). Oh, plug your VCR into a TV of course :P.
