Hello people.
Help me please:
Is there such a thing which is like a speedrun, but it is played as a regular game, in a normal fashion, where I can see the game and the FMVs? Sort of like Shenmue: The Movie, for those who watched it.
I don't have much stamina to play games, but I do want to know the stories, so please, if anyone knows of this phenomenon, please tell me, what's it called?
Also, does someone know where to download such a thing? (this question is not as important as the first one, though)

the cinema?
I'm guessing he means a speedrun where you don't skip the cutscenes.
I always though, that the interesting thing about speedrunning is...... speed  Huh?
Anyway beating games the normal way just takes too long. Especially because normal way usually means killing most enemys  Wink
If the cutscene can be skipped, then the run won't have any.

However, I know of a couple speed runs that DO have cutscene since they cannot be skipped.  As for sites that have runs with the cutscene intact, well, I don't know of any.

The Unreal Authority.
what he means is someone who knows what they are doing going through the game quickly, but not so fast that the story is destroyed, and yes with scenes in them.

I think this would be kind of cool too, of course not here, on another site. Doubt anyone records games like this though.
A Crab
Someone was doing this with Anachronox.  They got the first few chapters done at least.  It basically recorded all the cutscenes with enough in-game action inbetween to tie them together.  In fact, I did a little digging and found they've finished it:

I also remember an attempt at a Half-Life movie but I don't think it ever got off the ground.
Speedruns - 01
What you want is game runthroughs, there are some videos like this out there, I recommend the Final Fantasy X one (10h +)

Some videos here on SDA is like that, for example Zelda Ocarina Of Time, since alot of the dialogue can't be skipped.

I would also like to see more videos like this, but not here on SDA, since here it's like the name, all about speedruns. If anyone know some other sites with complete game playthrough videos I'd love to see some links!
everybody wanna tell you the meaning of music
First off, this is in the wrong section. Try this thread: http://speeddemosarchive.com/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=main;action=display;num=1121915749;start=

I don't feel like repeating what I said over there, here.
