I love YaBB 1G - SP1!

I have been running this game for 5 years and am looking to pass on the torch and teach someone else to run this game. At least another 2 minutes could be shaved off the record, but I no longer have the patience to deal with this game. If you have any interest please feel free to let me know.

One quick note. This game has 2 major categories that people run. New Game and New Game+. If you want to run NG, you need to keep some things in mind. The game allows you access to the pieces of equipment you would normally gain from having completed certain accomplishments in beating the game. However, the community chooses to not use these pieces of equipment since the runs would be too similar and it doesn't make the run different enough to be interesting. Also if you choose to play NG, you can't use a memory card with a previous completion file on it as it changes certain aspects of the game.

I've only got videos for NG+ since the only NG videos aren't very good. (There's only about a 20% rate of actually finishing in NG and most people run it segmented.)

One of my favorite games ever. I remember diving across the room for the reset button after accidentally kicking Hewie

This is also one of my most favourite games.

I only do NG hard mode which is quite different and for a long time I only competed against Shin's run which limited certain things.

I was never able to get a full run together due to some irritating RNG which really prevents me doing single segment.

These are some nice times but do you play normal Fiona at all?

I ran "normal fiona" (which is new game) for 5 years. Also Hard mode is easier than Normal mode because of enemy spawn areas. The game can only store 3 "Mutant Clones" at a time, so after a certain point you just stop seeing them entirely. Which makes running Hard mode almost silly.

Also irritating RNG is basically why only a few people bother with single segment. Out of the 500+ attempts I've done, I'd say I've only actually managed to survive single segment around 20% of the time.

Yeah there is something up with those mutants. Someone who got into the game files explained it to me some time ago but I didn't really get it.

The only point where there may show up or not in in the Ricardo segment. Weird stuff happens around that area like hearing their foot steps even though they aren't physically there, ex. the part where they drop down from the ceiling and the red hallway. But there's still a few unavoidable ones.

The part that ruins runs for me 100% of the time in after doing the block puzzle and exiting reflector room. Then we need to ask Hewie to get the flowers. If Debilitas shows up here it's over. It's very rare that he doesn't.

From my planning I didn't find too much RNG after this point, but this Debilitas part is ridiculous. What area did you find to be run killers?

The 6 Luminecents during the climb up the tower were the biggest run killer. Also when you first see Ricardo and he opens the door. Sometimes while traveling through that door he would shoot me point blank.

The part with Debilities, in single segment if he shows up then you just lead him over to his shack. It wastes about 45 seconds to a minute depending on if he shows up before or after you get the flowers, and he shows up around 90% of the time so you just deal with it.

ok, I see what happened with the luminecents. There's one a little out of view.

I've had a little trouble with Ricardo after he first appears. Sometimes he'll come into the room with the floor trap, but usually I get good luck here.

I don't think I could stand to do SS with all the RNG aspects. Though there aren't a huge amount, they're still annoying, especially Debilitas. If I ever get to doing my run it will definitely be segmented first.

I haven't done played this recently but it was one I played for years. Last time I played I was working on a possible OOB.

It's possible to get Fiona up on that part and get stuck in there but I couldn't get it to work. I know how to make Hewie do it but with Fiona I have no idea.

Also, some weird stuff with Debilitas in this area.

is there still a running community for HG? I just started running it, in fact, i just started a normal playthrough to collect ideas what i want to do to save some frames ^^
