Just so we don't continue to clog the collected Half-Life runs topic. Brandon, don't destroy this one XD!
Well, this was a project of mine that I started long ago, and never finished, mostly out of fear of v.1.1.1.0 demos. It was mentioned again in the collected thread, so I decided to start it up again. Much to my surprise, demos aren't actually that terrible in v.1.1.1.0, you just have to know how to manipulate them. Hehe.
Corhellion and I started off by finding most of the shortcuts at the beginning of this project, but since it started up again, along comes laughing_gas and TheVoid, finding out that my two impossible shortcuts actually work. Amazing what those early grenade did for this run o_o;
So far, LG has completed a run on hard in 11:24, and I hear Brandon is trying to compete with me in the Easy category ; )
Here's a link to LG's run:

I haven't actually watched it yet, but I plan to... Now, you must understand that there is no such thing as an armored vest and helmet, a PCV or an HEV suit present in this MOD. You only have health. That means a run on Easy will be infinitely superior to the Hard time, because you can add in a couple other grenade hops. Just FYI ._.;
I wanted to post the first two demos of my run here along with LG's run, but they're pretty slow and poorly executed (they didn't seem that way when I was actually doing them o.O), so I'll refrain from posting them until they're all mighty and such. 9 seconds to get out of the water and 27 seconds through the catacombs and to the next loadzone!? C'mon! I can get 8 and 25 seconds here! : )
Further They Hunger discussion should be placed here, just so we leave the collected thread alone. Wish me luck with this one >_<;
Happy running to you as well, Brandon.
EDIT: By the way, v.1.1.1.0 demos aren't my only concern while running. My computer has a tendency to freeze randomly, and after it's unfrozen, my mouse sensitivity will drastically change. Sometimes it'll be slow and smooth like it used to be, but since I've been playing with the forced high sensitivity for so long, my bunny hopping will suffer majorly. Then I'll get another freeze, and one wrong flick of my hand and I'll go careening into a wall.
Frustrating when technology is trying to forbid you from completing a run. The worst is when my computer freezes during a demo, because then the demo crashes, and I lose what is always an extremely nice demo. Grr. Oh well : )
Run updates:
This is just a little place you can refer to if you're actually interested in my run.
At the moment, I'm 4 segments in, I'm at the first house. Don't know the time, but I'm under a minute if I'm not mistaken. Got a lot more to go. I'd say I'm about 10% into the game, as a fair estimate. With the next shortcut, however, I'll be somewhere in the range of 40-50% through the game : )
