great, i have it DL'd and installed, but the code (coppied and pasted in the .ini) causes an error, and exits  :-/

Do i need to alter that code in some way?

Sorry to repeat this question, but is anyone able/willing to convert the blue shift training course from a demo to an .avi?    Or rerun it, as "D_D" suggested?        Thanks to any takers!

Lol.  Well, I thank you, then.
Just new...
Say, here's an odd question.  If somebody completed the episode 1 speed runs, would they be included here or somewhere else?

I am asking this because of the huge number of people that seem to be working on this run.

Speaking of which, I should go take a look to see how the HLDQ guys are doing with episode 1.

They'll be included here (and in SDA's game list), that is, once the HLDQ team submits the run; even though, according to Valve, the episodic continuations of "Half-Life 2" are essentially Half-Life 3.

Either way, Zhouy or a mod will probably just modify the thread title.

Or rerun it

I could tackle the swerveyness of Blue-Shift and badly record the hazard course in v.1.1.1.0, and hopefully find someone to convert my demos ._.;

A lot, actually. I really should upgrade to Steam, and do my single segment run =\

I figured I'd link these for everyone's convenience; they are Lost Coast runs all performed by Dark_Devil (though, they were all edited in movie maker, but little else was added to the video other than a soundtrack, so I imagine it's fairly tolerable for most):

Lost Coast in 48 seconds (Flight glitch optimized)

Lost Coast in 1:01 (Flight glitch)

Lost Coast in 1:24 (negligible to no flight glitch)

What would you call these, though?  Mods?  Additional content?

Uhm, lol, I must have missed your post.  Tongue Didn't see it until now...

I think I will add them as "Additional Hl2 level ".

hi
http://files.filefront.com/Halflife_shl_3034wmv/;5363151;;/fileinfo.html

This is a speedrun of a great HL Singleplayer mod called "Sweet Halflife". I've done this run with the help of Zhouy. First i was seatching for various shortcuts, Zhouy helped me with finding out some triggers. After finding all shortcuts/timesavers etc. we started to run this game. Total time: 30:34 Mins.

Short Info:

       Mod: Sweet Halflife "SHL"
       Skill: Normal
Runner/s: Dark_Devil, Zhouy
Run time: 30:34 Mins

Info about Video:

      Codec: WMV.
   KB Rate: 762 kbps @ 25 fps
Resolution: 640x480

EDIT: @Zhouy, edit this run into the first post plz Smiley

That wasn't too shabby of a run. Some of the shortcuts were cool, and I must say Dark, your bunnyhopping has improved drastically o_O;

But, I have two questions about your run.

1.) Were you both using Steam?
2.) You up for a re-run? : )

I see improvement scattered all over the run, and it'd be cool to re-run, if you guys are up for it, that is. I just need to know if v.1.1.1.0 demos would be a problem going forward o.o;
hi
yes maybe, cause Zhouy wanted a re run too, he said that he found some new timesavers and that we could do some parts better and btw thanks  Grin my bhop isnt like shit now  Cheesy

PoCari Answers:
1.) Were you both using Steam? Yes, we both used steam.
2.) You up for a re-run? : ) We could do if DD wanna go for it. As he said, I found some new shortcuts, which we didn't do in this run. And, this run is as a matter of fact old. We haven't posted it until now, dunno why
Roll Eyes And I think our both skill is even more better now then in this run.

Btw, will edit this run in now  Wink
Since you're talking about a rerun, is there any chance of you doing a run of the alternative ending as well?

There was a point in the run where you crossbow'd a marine, and did all this jumping over some boxes and that certainly surprised me. Not to mention the tau boosting. Very nice.

Could I possible get a link to this mod? I would like to try it out : )

By the way, I never mentioned how I thought this mod was WEEIIIRRD O_O!

Yes, I mean the "alien spaceship" ending.

I can recall SHL being one of the most random mods I've played in terms of storyline (on both routes), by the end I wanted to take a test to make sure I didn't drip some acid or something Tongue .

That was my question too. You see, fileplanet is not my friend. And those other sites were just nuts.
