Greetings to Quake1 speedrunners, SDA team, QdQ team!

I have found the QdQ and SDA pages sometime last year, and since
become an observer of a great number of demos.  Basically: you rock!:)

I would have loved to watch the legendary llkka Kurkela's hip1 NR too,
but there seems to be a problem with the .pak file, the demos won't play.
Pakexplorer says: Error reading file.
This is the only time I have encountered such a problem with any marathon
posted on the SDA site.

I haven't found a thread regarding this, that's why I'm posting.

That's weird, I can confirm that extracting the pak results in a a pak that is not readable. I haven't looked into the details yet.

However, if you open the .dz in dzip and press enter on the .pak file, you can then highlight the .dem files that make it up and extract them directly to the hipnotic directory. Then the demos play fine.
