DS Dictator
Don't forget 3 video attachments!

What is Gameboy Interface:

It is a homebrew software program for the Nintendo Gamecube, it requires using the Gameboy Player's hardware to play physical cartridges but the homebrew software itself runs much more accurate than the official software and the video output uses a much cleaner native resolution of 240p.
Gameboy pixels never looked so good outside of Super Gameboy 2. This is the best way to get a decent video output for Game Boy Colour games as there are substitutes for the other 2 series.
Gameboy B&W's case is the Super Game Boy 2 and Gameboy Advance is using the Nintendo DS phat + Capture card combo.

HDMI? Are you kidding me?

My Nintendo Gamecube is modified with a special video chip that outputs in HDMI, it linedoubles 240p sources to 480p and it even outputs digital sound, something $150+ GC Component Cables cannot do.
It even tries to minimise deinterlace 480i output without input lag but it isn't as clean as 480p and I think SD recording -> Anrichan/YUA to deinterlace is better.

No input lag? Video or it didn't happen.

Alright. Here's a couple, left is my CRT and right is my LCD. You are welcome to use YT's x0.25 speed feature to really see how HDMI is in sync with CRT.

240p Gameboy Interface

This setup cannot be done with 480p as my CRT does not support that input.

The Dork Knight himself.
This sounds pretty cool, and the output looks really clean.

Could you go into a little more detail about the software? How do you load it, and what about it is more accurate than the standard software?
DS Dictator
How do I load it?

You'll need to get the following:
SD Media Launcher GC disc - this is out of stock in US Code junkies but not the UK/PAL counterpart.  presjpolk got his to work on his NTSC console but mine didn't.
SD Card -> GC card (this usually comes with the SD Media Launcher).

Next you need a 2GB SD card and some files including:
gbi-ll.dol - Targeted at CRT TVs and SDA speedrunning - low latency
gbi-ull.dol - Targeted at enthusiasts - ultra low latency

Personally I use gbi-ull.dol because it works on both my CRT and LCD at the same time.

For low latency version:
Video
fixed 480(528)x160p viewport
fixed 59.8261 Hz refresh
1-2 frames latency (buffered)
Audio
no low-pass filter
Input
1000 Hz polling rate

For ultra-low latency version:
Video
fixed 480(528)x160/320p viewport
fixed 59.7276 Hz refresh, close to the ideal 59.7275 Hz
<1 frame latency (unbuffered)
Audio
no low-pass filter
Input
1000 Hz polling rate

The homebrew software itself isn't perfect because it only supports GC controllers and not the GBA -> GC link.
Secondly, this one is getting patched very soon as at the moment it allows untested inputs (Up+Down, Left+Right).

Here is a video showing some more GB Interface and how it is more accurate than GB-Player software.
looks great of course, but you should definitely crop.

gbi-ull doesn't display for me. anything special that needs to be done? i couldn't see it even in my TV. does it depend on the cable?
DS Dictator
hmm, are you using RGB Scart or Component?
I can't fully remember myself whether or not it does not support composite/s-video.
Stand: Devil's Call in your Heart
i have component (NTSC-U GC)
i also had composite plugged at the time since one cable was going to the HDTV and one to the CRT but it didn't display on either of them.
gbi-ll displayed correctly on the same setup.
DS Dictator
An important bump because the most recent version of Game Boy Interface now supports GBA controllers, as long you plug it into Controller Port 2!
