What?
FinnRuns is an online marathon done solely by Finnish speedrun-enthusiasts. There are many Finnish runners out there, but many of them are unfortunately hidden throughout the internet. The basic concept of the marathon came from the idea of connecting all finnish speedrunners and making the community more solid. This is our first organized speedgaming marathon, but despite this we hope it will be a success, from both streamer’s and viewer’s point of view.
When?
At the moment the marathon will be set to start at May 2nd at 5PM GMT+3 and is planned to last for 48 hours. The schedule is currently under construction, but it's still not too late to participate! Schedule can be found HERE
Where?
Stream will be held at Twitch, address being: http://twitch.tv/FinnRuns
Games?
The game selection will feature many all-time favourite speedgames, all the way from classic NES-era to newer acquaintances. As usual there will be Zelda and Mario games, along with entries from Resident Evil, Crash Bandicoot, Mega Man and many other classic series. From newer era, we will present runs of such games as Skyrim, Dishonored and 3D Dot Game Heroes.
Can I join?
If you meet the criteria of being Finnish and feeling that you can do a speedrun of a game, feel free to PM me for details! Last recommended day of contacting would be April 25th.
