So, in short, I found a copy of Barney's Hide And Seek Adventure for the Sega Genesis in a used game store.  To beat the game, hold right for 4 minutes and 58 seconds and hit any button twice to jump two times in the final level.  It's so simple, it's shouldn't even be called a run.  So that is why I propose a challenge for this run.  Whoever can run it in the most ridiculous circumstances wins.  Anyone else in?

"Oh boy, a trumpet", "I see a racoon", "please press a button when you find a friend", "Super-dee duper!".
That 16-bit voice will haunt my dreams.

In terms of a run, I can't figure out how to lose much less do anything remotely interesting. Sure I get 0 at the end of each stage, but that doesn't stop me from progressing on to the next level anyway. I've never before played a game so easy that it's frustrating.
All the things
Depends on what you mean by ease. If it's the amount of interaction required to complete the game, then there are a number of games you can point to. Clue, for example, you could potentially win without ever looking at what's going on, and within a few button presses you may have won. Some games will just complete themselves without any interaction if you wait long enough, although you can't call it a speedrun anymore. If you mean some combination of interaction, patience, etc to get a reasonable "run" completed, then that's different yet.

Wasn't there a game Naegleria plays, that literally beats itself if you don't give any input for duration x?

F-Zero GX? (*cowers* I'm kidding, don't hurt me!)
Guys, please. (At least as far as I've found, all you need to do is spam the button input kinda fast, reset until success. Takes tenacity for sure, but only that.)
What is a man?
As for the original discussion.. Blindfolded run? you'll need to keep track of time to time the two jumps? Tongue

That isnt the fastest way to do it though going left is faster on some levels as shown here
Waiting hurts my soul...
improvement of 26 seconds already! I smell sub-4:30

Actually, that's the very Barney game mentioned in this thread.  It's quite a bit slower though.
The name's Sheldor. InfiniteSheldor.

Home Is Where One Starts has one ending where you just wait for the bus, which I think is about 1min30s of just standing in place then I forget if you have to click to get on the bus; but it is a pretty low interaction run.

My 2-hour 100% Metroid run was pretty easy.
You can learn Two Worlds in about five minutes, check it out http://www.speedrun.com/Two_Worlds
Not official by any means, but you can beat Metroid Fusion in 6 minutes including opening cutscene with debug mode on.

I don't think House Of Caravan ever patched the clips that I use in my route, i think it's like 37 seconds.
