I've been thinking about picking this up for a while, especially since the speedrun in SDA is a segmented run.

I've tried doing some searching and trying to find people who run DAO but haven't had too much of a luck with that so I decided to turn to the forum and reddit to ask for help and boost to get this going on!

For last couple of weeks I've tried to replicate glitches used in speedrun for current patch (and some of the glitches, like the stat point allocation I've used for casual playthroughs myself when they still worked!) but had very little success, so they've either been patched out or just don't work for some other reason.

The run will probably be hours (?) longer because you really can't get yourself as overpowered as fast to my best knowledge anymore, so I'd like to find out substitutes for those strats and glitches. The route used in the segmented run seems to be the most optimal one if I can get the Out of Bounds glitches to work, if not then the run will probably mean one has to beat all the story missions as fast as possible.

These are my thoughts, any input and help is appreciated (as well as links to current runners if there are any! would love to get in touch!)

Totally Radical Awesome Game
instead of spending hours looking for glitches that got patched out, don't you think it be would be more practical to just buy a non-awakening cd release and not patch it?
but hey, do what you gotta do man

Fastest time by far is the character switch the first time you go to Denerim, to skip straight to endgame. If you want current patch, I don't see how you can get a short time. Honestly though, it would be really interesting to try out and it would be hilarious to see in a marathon. I can't directly stream due to the crappy laptop I have, but I wouldn't mind helping find stuff.
