Dead Space speedrun

Im looking into doing a dead space speedrun, the series is one of my favorite games of all time, and the current record isn't all too impressive( that is to say i think it could be massively cut down) i am looking for someone to test the game with me and find shortcuts that could help complete the game much faster.

We have not a official current record, there's a run that was accepted but is not listed yet.
All my tips of dead space (1) are here:

Impossible Mode:
-No force gun
-No Suit Upgrade
-Recoil Plasma Cutter cancel
-Switch Weapon Line Gun - Shot.
-Chapter 12 skips

To set the category the difficult [(easy,normal,hard,impossible) and NG or NG+] is the only matter.
Also PC runs are separated from (PS3 & X360) due to the aim with the mouse and loaded times between chapters

Well, that was one of the most amazing runs I've ever seen.
I have a few questions.

Why do you position the camera looking at the ground sometimes?
How did you 180 turn like that?
How does recoil Plasma Cutter cancel work?

Will watch some other parts of interest and get back to you with more questions.
The PS3 version feels like playing in stasis compared to PC.

How do you make the Pulse Rifle only fire one bullet like what you did on your first encounter with the regenerating necromorph?

What does 'Switch Weapon Line Gun - Shot' mean? Can you cancel recoil by switching?

My assumption is that looking at the ground will stop or lower the risk of the enemies charging at you, because that's triggered by looking at them.

Use a high mouse sensitivity and/or quick swoop across the mousepad? I have no problems doing 180's.

As you can see, after the first shot he quickly cancels aiming the gun, so the other two shots are denied.

This might just mean that you fire the secondary mode of the line gun (that delayed mine) and then switch to another weapon, so you can shoot while waiting for the mine to detonate.

I noticed that enemies that would normally be tearing me to shreds in an instant, just watched him run past. I thought it must be something like that. What odd programming.

I didn't notice the Pulse Rifle thing. Thanks.

I totally screwed up my save too. In this run the player moves the marker along the final stretch without triggering those tentacles, then skips the scene with Kendra, which I'm guessing is done by blowing himself up near the door with the Line Gun's alt fire. For me I was able to run straight thought the glass part and through the door without doing this, then saved just before the final boss. Now the boss doesn't appear.

Not an issue though as I didn't need that save but still kinda sucks.
