Converting Split to Single-segment?

Hey guys, I'm new. Grin

I was just wondering if requests to convert split speedruns to single-segment are ever considered. This is not much use for dialup, as they'd probably prefer a split file so they can download at their leisure. However, I'm on broadband, and I think one big file is much better than split. Perhaps you could have two links, one to split and the other to Single-Segment.

If so, could you please combine Super Mario Sunshine run into one movie?

Any info would be great.

It's been asked before, and it won't be done. There are many ways to automate downloading and playing of multiple files, if that's what you have a problem with.

Hmm, you want them joined together for easier downloading or for easier watching on your computer?

If you want to download easier, get DownThemAll extension if you have Firefox. You can try FlashGot, but if you already had a download manager (like FlashGet) you probably wouldn't be asking this question. If you have IE, I don't know what to tell you for a plugin, so use wget. It's command line. RTFM or search the boards; Radix has explained it like 100x.

If you want to watch easier, make a playlist. Whatever program you use to watch will be able to do this, and it might be as easy as dragging the folder or all the files.

If you are just some kinda weirdo who needs it as one file for whatever reason, use avisynth to combine the files together and direct stream copy in virtualdub (you can use just virtualdub if you want but this is easier), and presto. This might require more explanation if you are not the RTFM type, but I doubt this is the paragraph you want to read anyway.

Edit: I just fully comprehended what you are asking, and if you think about it, it is one of the more unreasonable requests that anyone has given. Do you suggest that we host another, pointless copy of each run quality? To totally screw over the dialup and other people, just because you are too lazy to make the segmenting transparent? And really, maybe you could be glad that you get to swarm the downloads since they're broken up.
