i started my splits .1 seconds slower and I add it up after my guy put down his gun 10:11.74 i have the pics for it.

About the Run:
Level 1 - troll boss
Level 2 - Nice (.2 loosed on Boss fight)
Level 3 - OK
Level 4 - (trololololo trololololoooooooooo)
Level 5 - Pussy out for not jumping over the bombs
Level 6 - Not the best pattern on fire but godlike RNG at boss
Level 7 - 1 second troll lag
Level 8 - Troll Ceiling Alien

If you cant kill them both before they come back together, you dont gain time. Also, if you are going to try and get this to work, you need to find a way to get it at least 50% of the time. Cant be 1/100.

Do you get the normal glitch 50%? I'm not even near to be consistent with the normal glitch so I probably don't see why it's harder that way.

When I was in shape for contra, I was getting it about 75%.

I just want to insist on the fact that I still never use fast mashing because for me that slower mash works better. Most Contra player will say that it makes no sense and all, but I shaved 45 seconds by getting more consistent with that perfect speed. I tryed very hard to start mashing, but everytime that come back to my usuall speed, I kill things soooo much faster. I reallt don't know what to thin about it now. I guess I'll stick to that until I can't improve other stuff. Just wanted to say this here since I don't see anyone else playing that way. I think it might be time to try the Low%. Smiley

It is very easy to get a 3 stream in the base stages. with the faster mashing, you can "potentially" get a higher stream but it is a bit luck based. 3 stream can get you sub 10:35 in my opinion.

More low% runners please.

In my opinion there are few key places where you need fast mashing:
1. One cycle kill waterfall boss.
2. Alien & Hearth on alien's Lair.
3. Tanks in snow Field.
4. UFO (Boss) in Snow Field.
5. Boss in energy zone.

You may disagree Remz but if you ever time your kills you will see the difference, even if is .1,.2 or .3 at the end everything adds up to save seconds.

In another subject getting the spread rithm of 4 or more in the bases is OP, but I also noticed that having that rithm 4/5 + mashing like crazy while having it makes faster kills on the targets.

Thanks TMR I'll have to check thoses parts more carefully and probably time thoses kills to see that mashing can do the difference. I know than in my sub 11 run I killed 2nd tank faster by slowing down a little bit. So I think that mashing might become a little bit faster at a speed I am not reaching consistently enough yet. I struggle very hard to get that evidence. The best example right now is if I try to get the hangar boss kill that I did in the sub 11 by mashing fast. I still can't do it, and it was so easy in slow mashing. You say that one of the key spots is the waterfall boss in one cycle and I'm not even close so it might be a place to start mashing and see what I can get. You know I'm happy that you are willing to help me to get the evidence of what you say. I was feeling that I could not really discuss that anymore and it's something that is very crucial in my play.

For close fight like tanks and wall kills, I retested it against turbo and I can't tell any difference yet when I mash at the correct speed, but it sounds and look very differently. I guess I'll start by the waterfall boss.

I'm 100% sure that what you say is true. But it's only when I watch you play. I just can't do it.

Most of people would not believe how close the slow mashing can be to the fast.

OK finally 10:10 i still loose a lot of time but i am getting better with the frame perfect Boss Glitch on base 2. I got 10 of 26. The only problem is have a good time while getting that glitch Sad
