I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
I have decided to work on this as a speed run, my only problem is that once you start on a new profile(the only way to time without using additional equipment i.e. stopwatch with chapter mode in a conjunction) is that there is no way to skip the cut scenes.

Can't you just stop recording during the cutscenes?  I don't think cutscenes count toward your game time.

If a game doesn't have a timer, the cutscenes count.
pidgeons
This isn't that big a deal though as everyone will be at the same disadvantage. Given that Conker's Bad Fur Day wasn't the longest game in the world I don't see the 7 hour limit being a problem here.
Like in Bad Fur Day, is there not a function that allows you to press a button (L on BFD) to skip a cutscence once watched once?
The time limit is not an issue.. Snapdragon's One-Life run on the n64 was about 2:20hrs. He was able to skip many cutscenes inside the levels.
?
I realize it's about speed and all, but sheesh, I'm of the opinion that in this game, the cutscenes are worth it just for hilarity's' sake.  Worth every second of excess download and wasted time if you ask me.
There are some games that I wish that the cutscenes were unskippable in speed runs, really, because they're so damn entertaining, and Conker is one of them.

I'd download it just to watch the storyline unfold, as I was only able to rent it once, and I never even got to see the Singing Poo!

Good luck on this run.  I'll be lookin' forward to it, to say the least.
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
i suppose, but being costed 7 minutes for the opening cut scene isnt good...
Again, just beat teh game, then start over. You should be able to press the L-Trigger to skip the scenes.

i tried that on a different game profile, it didnt work, do i have to erase the game profile i have done it on?

Opening cutscenes don't count, because the timing doesn't start until you get control of your character.

Thank you for clearing that up.

Im a bit of a noob you see.
Yeah, just let the cutscenes in the run. I'd like to see them all.

also there are quite a few loading screens, would they be a problem?
Yoshi's eggs are at my mercy!

They would count agianst his overall time, yes. =\ But again, that puts everyone at the same dissadvantage.

yeah i suppose it does.

Thanks you guys for all your help, quite a friendly bunch around these parts.
If you leave the cutscenes in, would that still count as a speedrun? They will add a fair bit of bias onto your total time..
Or we could sperate it into "With cutscenes" and "Without cutscenes".

I think he means he will not make two different section for the run.
