The high quality download for CotM is broken. Filename is

It's supposed to be 4.11 gigs but it only reports itself as 117MB. It downloads successfully that amount but doesn't play.

It's the program you're using to download, it's buggy.
Try another one... I recomend GNU wget.

Must be issues with the large file size. I tried it with good old FTP from the command line and it gets to 4.00 gig then fails with a device full error despite that drive having 14 gig free.

The program that I use to download stuff from ftp sites (including this site) is SmartFTP. Here's a link to their site.

Are you still using a FAT 32 partition? You can't have files that are >= 4 GB then. Need to use NTFS for that (if you're on windows at least).

Just know that not all versions like NTFS. 98 has an unofficial program that allows it to support it. 2000 and XP have full native support.

95 or ME - if you're using those, get a new OS. Especially if you're using ME. *shudders at thinking about that OS*

Yep still using FAT32... machine has XP on it but it was originally a 98 machine.
