Breath of Fire Series Relay

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen!

My name is Bowie, if you don't already know me.
I am wanting to gauge interest in a relay race for this wonderful series. I know there are enough runners for what I have in mind.

In terms of details, I have an idea and I will work on what I need to if it can go ahead.

So, without further ado

What:
A series about a young man named Ryu, a member of the Dragon Clan/Brood/Endless fighting to save his dying kind and the world. Aided by a huge host of friends from different clans and nations: be they Frogmen, Armadillos, Humans or The Winged Fae like the series' other main stay protagonist, Nina.

The series is a well loved journey of differences coming together to take out a great evil and danger. I would like to get two teams of runners to face off Smiley

If we CAN get 3, that would be huge, but I only know of 2 runners for certain games. Hence my gauging interest rather than putting all the specifics down immediately, although I aim to get the specifics under way ASAP

I am looking to do it in NOVEMBER
As of yet, I don't know so aye, interest being gauged. I would want to do it of a weekend, so here's a provisional dates:

Breath of Fire V: Dragon Quarter (PS2)

NA vs The World ()

BoF II: Jenja23, eLmaGus, Jiseed
BoF III: NeoSlash, VultuZ, eLmaGus, ObdaJr, Hidetomatsu
BoF IV: ChibiZer0, BOWIEtheHERO
BoF V: Wingilbert

So it's looking like Dragon Quarter is a touch understocked of runners. I want at least 2 teams, so if we can't get more runners for Dragon Quarter I will have to cut it, but that would be a disaster. I want all the games to be showcased (LOL 6 doesn't exist, please)

I have messaged Puwexil about it maybe being popped onto the RPGLB Channel, if this is however not doable, I shall host it on my own channel -

I would like to offer commentary for Breath of Fire 2. I have started learning the game, but know the game throughout and have watched many runs. I have been playing this game (and the whole series) since childhood, so I know a decent lot about the universe too.

Coincidentally I've been putting together a challenge route for BoF1 (No transformation/reject%), but could put that on hold to learn the commonly used run for BoF1. Either as part of the relay, or simply for commentary if there's enough response from the experienced runners.

can commentate for BoF1-3 and play BoF2 and 3 if needed. Could potentially also learn BoF4 if BOWIE decides to be BOWIE. >:)

Excellent, added you both to the relevant areas.

The Breath of Fire Series Speedrun Discord is available here, I will be using it for the relay in both comms and also for sorting out certain details as well. Further to this, and after the relay, it'll be a hub for BoF speedruns, I know there is one already for III in particular, but yeah, just in case, I guess?

I would like to sign up for BoFII as well. I got a 8:21 on the japanese version but i was heading for a 7:30 last time when I crashed and burn. I would be playing the US version for this of course.

I guess i offer help for Breath of Fire III. (Runner and/or Commentary)

No Idea if i actually can do a run (Depends on Date and Time) also playing on Emulator, so i automatically lose 20~ Minutes compared to all the other runners playing on a PS2.

We have two runners for all the other games at least interested. The more the merrier though, people!
