Borderlands 2 Glitch Hunter/ router.
One for you Co-op running peoples

I was finally able to get a friend to play BL2 with me (him as the host) so i could test some things with the flash axton glitch to which the results were:

You cannot do it by switching weapons while aiming (mouse wheel / d-pad switching)
You cannot make it work by aiming at a Vending machine (Aiming ...using it... backing out, aiming again ... using it.... backing out ...etc etc)
I have a few more ideas but i didn't get round to testing them out.

Single Segment Co-op Item Cloning (no game exits)

1: Give the "Client" player whichever item you wish to dupe, start a trade placing the item(s) into the trade section.
2: once the fight starts the player with the weapon needs to drop it and be killed.
3: the other player will "Win" the item but it will also be on the ground.

You could do this with 4 weapons at a time if you need to get money just dupe and sell.

I have no audio Sad


Double\Triple\Quad Bonus package? sure why not!

Worried it might be PC only though as to drop it i used "Drop weapon" button instead of dropping from the menu (it didnt work with it in my back pack but being equipped it might work)

Here are some notes i wrote while reviewing my run, these are nor complete so feel free to ask about anything.

I need to be faster while checking shops and compare my inventory.

18:30 : I unequip my shield to take enough damage to commit suicide later
When i have to buy a shield a toos a grenade at my feet and i buy a shield in the next seconds. The time doesn't stop when buying stuff so i just die when using the vending machine.
I hit no checkpoints so i can go back to Hammerlock immediately.


38:56 : I got ejected by Big Bertha but i really wanted to grind BB one more time to be sure to hit 10 before tunring in the firehawk quest. I just left and came back hoping the two brothers will spawn.

57:30 : Made a mistake that cose me some time tho

Back to sanctuary : Marcus had good stuff to sell but i wanted to to see if the other vending machine had better stuff. Cost me some time but it would be quite bad if i missed really good stuff.

I hadn't sell my vladof RL as soon as i did the glitch.

The Dust : I killed some buzzards cause i didn't want to see them destroy my car.
I could save some time with better aiming tho.

Bad Maw : I almost downed myself cause of the second splash damage from the Maliwan RL.

Bloodshot Stronghold : Fire OP. I still not practiced the OoB here so i just went through.

Bloodshot Remparts : Grenade jump not practiced too Sad
I derped a bit too. My shotgun was really strong against W4R-D3N

Sanctuary : I checked the black market twice -> Brainfart

Tundra Express : Thanks Mordi for slagging the One-Armed Bandit -> fast kill for good amout of exp.

End of the Line : HYPE HYPE HYPE!!! 15 secs Whilelm fight!
I came back to sanctuary too fast so i had to fast travel somewhere else and come back to Sanctuary.

The Fridge : I still don't know why i killed that cristalisk.

The Highlands : Jakobs is strong vs a Thresher (Thank you Peef)

W.E.P : No nade jump here too. I went too ballsy against the Super Badass Loader and it cost me a lot of time.
The bloodwing fight was quite clean.

Bunker fights : i died a few times against the bunker and he trolled me too. Could save some time.
I stopped the farm at lvl 22 3/4.

I skipped saturn but he killed me twice or three times.

Fight before Hero's pass : I checked my exp to see if i had to kill some enemies after the fight to have my level 24.
Unfortunately i had to.

SDA isn't a leaderboard. They only accept videos that meet the quality standards. For PC games, that generally means using fraps or dxtory.

Whether you have an sda submittable video or not, I recommend that you submit your record to The Sunday Sequence Break. There isn't really a quality requirement. You can just send them your highlight and it will be read on air, and recorded in the link database.
Hmmm. I guess I could rerun it and use fraps next time. Some room for improvement but very little since this is so RNG based.
Good show man, kept that Anarchy all the way till the end and wrecked the Warrior quite proper like.  Looks like the only route that could possibly be faster is a straight through deathless Mecro run (horribly luck dependent though) until a sequence break is found.
Yeah my only major death was Brick knocking a Loader into me but that only cost me about 1;30 minutes so no biggie. Sadly running BL2 is so horribly RNG dependent it makes running not even fun since you can go perfect the first hour and get screwed over by launchers when you hit the thresher. I did two runs today, both used the same exact route, had nearly the same time, but I got rocked by the Thresher since my first run gave me shitty rng launchers all game.

Nice run bahroo, but can you give us your in-game time because here is the problem : even if i can do the same run than yours, you'll be more than 2 or 3 minutes ahead of me.
The reason : the loading  times are 5 to 10 sec longers with my computer than with yours, which mean if two people have the same skill level, the one with the better computer will win.
Borderlands 2 Glitch Hunter/ router.
yeah the run is good however, certain things need to be adhered to such as Fraps (game audio only no Voice over no extenal sounds Skype, Msn, Steam notifications etc etc) I would say you NEED to finish on grabbing the Key then quit to menu and show the In game timer for that character on the Fraps recording.

Its up to the verifiers if they use RTA (which they would need to time themselves) or if they stick to the IGT.
My thoughts on IGT. The more I think about everything with the IGT the more I kinda like using it to time runs, here's why. It removes the load time barrier leveling the playing field to everyone that can play the game instead of people that have high lvl gaming rigs and takes it back to player skill. The timer stops anytime you are in a menu, this too is equal to all players. IGT is an accurate measurement of the skill with which the player used given the weapons and situation that they were in regardless of system or specs.  So I'd like to start using that as a benchmark for the game. Thoughts everyone?
Also I'd guess that in his last run bahroo's igt would only be a minute or two less than the actual time so it would be at 3:35 and some change.
I have no problems with that. One thing though, Game time starts the moment you see the white screen and not when you gain control of your character. This only adds a couple of seconds but should it be factored in or not?
I'm sure you guys already noticed most of these thing but I will list a few things from my SS run.

-Skag/Bullymong/Varkid piles always have 1 grenade in them if you are under 50% of your carrying capacity.
-It's faster for Gaige to run through Bloodshot rather than skip however this is very RNG dependent but can shave off quite a bit of time if done correctly.
-Don't hit level 13 before activating the Thresher, instead hit level 13 within a few seconds of leveling. You get a 100% damage boost for 30 seconds after leveling.
-Putting yourself into FFYL will not drain Anarchy, sometimes it will but will be very slow
-Warrior's chest counts for FFYL kill
-You get a 50% damage Bonus for 10 seconds after FFYL
-Using the correct element will give these bonuses, Corrosive Vs Armor(50%), Shock Vs Shield(100%), Fire Vs Flesh(50%)
-Buying an SDU will refill your grenades
-You don't lose Anarchy if you die from falling

That's fine. It doesn't have to be the same as SDA time. It just has  to be reliable.  Though, you do need to skip the ending cutscene in order to actually look at your in game time properly.  The only thing is that it doesn't factor in time spent paused, which is fine as long as nobody exploits this. I'm for using in game time until there is a reason not to.
Okay, so here are two attempts at the same segment. The second one is faster, yet gives a slower in game time. Does anyone know why this happens?

I'm not sure but is it possible your player movement was happening while in the new-u tunnel hence why you started further forward than normal and this may cause the timer to start earlier too.

This is only a guess however I know that early movement can be done in BL1 as JayTOH uses it at tr very start of the game so it's possible it is in BL2 as well
I was gonna make a guess that perhaps its the overlapping VO stuff like forcing timer forward but....that doesn't make sense...

Okay, I just figured it out. The first segment was right after launching the game, while the second one was after playing for a while. The game starts timing (and also gives you partial control) partway through the loading screen if a game has been loaded already in the same session. If it is the first time actually loading into the game, the timer starts after the loading screen ends. Control is also given at that time. For me, on a non-fresh session the added time ends up being consistently 8 seconds per segment. Though, I imagine it varies from computer to computer.

I made a major mistake when fighting King Mong and that cost me sub 3:10 which is easily possible. I can also shave off a lot of time at the cost of Real Time so I need to know, are we running IGT or RT?

Bahroo, I'm still on the side of using IGT because it balances loading times across the board but it looks as if there will still be tiny variance do to the load times mentioned by your_name_here.  If I were going to verify a run I'd want to see both for sure.  What sort of RTA manipulation could you do to lower the IGT? That seems counter intuitive but if it works it works.  Good run BTW!

Almost forgot to add something.  Right after you talk to claptrap to get him to open the Deathwall in Thousand Cuts if you just plow through the thing and respawn (its right next to the wall) claptrap will have teleported to behind the gate and you will skip his dialog. Saves some time!

So close to sub 3:10 I can taste it. Overall it was a good run but I lost Anarchy yet again because FFYL did not reset which sucks but whatever, also I need could have improved in the start. I suck at shooting it seems.

Good runs man, luck manipulating for that good sniper really speeds up early game! Much more than I would have though, and likely just as much as a first try BP and from the looks of it, using that sniper in combo with the nade jumps down the hill are way faster than the BP early game hands down.

Damn Your NG w/DLC  run makes a Segmented NG run look ....crap quite frankly...... seeing as I'm only getting to Lilith maybe 4 mins before you on what should be a "Perfect" run .... Sad ...might not bother
Wow Bahroo, just got round to watching that and I was really impressed! Great routing throughout, though i should probably go back through this thread a bit to look for the reasoning on a few weapon choices.

That said it seemed like you were convinced throughout the first half of the run that it wasn't going very well. I'm curious if there is anything besides poor aiming at the beginning and the anarchy loss that could save a significant portion of time (other than the grenade jump on the dam)?

I must say you have really impressive boss work as the game goes on. I think 3:10 will be no problem to beat - can't wait to see you keep chopping minutes off of this run!
