I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
Is there a way to download all the segments without having to go into each one, right click, and save as?

I'm interested in seeing the DeusEx run but it would take forever to download the traditional way. So I thought I'd ask if anyone has a better download method.

Thanks

I swear by wget, ever since Radix talked about it on the Feb. 20th update.

wget is one way.

a good ftp client (e.g. TotalCommander, I use DOpus) the other.

Ok, so I have wget now. How do I make it download the whole run? I see I can download the files by entering each url, is there a command to download the whole directory?

Thanks
I'm indifferent towards YaBB 1G - SP1!
Get all the URLs of the files you want to download and put them in a text file. Run "wget -i filename.txt" or whatever you called the file.
Hey. Also use "-c" for resuming downloads. I remember talking to Radix a while back, and he told me about it. Freaking sweet when you get the hang of it.  Grin

That sounds annoying, if there are a lot of files to download. FTP is much more convenient - go to the archive.org info page, enter the server data, select the files you want and download them. I use SmartFTP.

-c is where it's at, however. Unless your FTP client can resume too.

Of course, with the naming scheme for the vids, it's just some simple copy & paste & edit.

Well I went the FTP route last night. So sweet. They even link you to the FTP software to download.

I logged in, highlighted all 44 files, right click and download. Then I went to bed. Just woke up and all the files are ready and waiting.

Thanks for the FTP tip. So much for wget unless FTP stops working
I use Getright. It has a handy "Add Numbered Sequence of URLs" feature where you put in the first URL, tell it how many files there are total, and it does the rest. Very very useful. ^_^

However, it doesn't work for games that don't follow a "number sequence" (such as 4 Swords).

So FTP sounds pretty useful. I might have to give it a shot.
