The Dork Knight himself.
Not entirely sure if this will work, but I'd say strip the audio from the file, then change the playback rate for the video (not convert, just change it) to 29.97, then re-mux the audio back in.

***Edit***
I re-read through this topic, and you did mention that you're using a y-splitter to get the audio to your soundcard. When you were using Amarec, did you try just plugging your console directly into the Dazzle and selecting Dazzle Audio when setting up Amarec or did that still cause a desync?

Another thing, if you want to use the Amarec + VDub combo, just completely disable the deinterlacer on the Preview tab and set the Live output to 30fps so it will send the raw interlaced footage to VDub (don't know why I didn't think of this before).

torch slug since 2006
right now i use the dazzle's own audio, but it doesnt make a difference. i do not wanna use vdub in conjunction with this, since amarec + xsplit is demanding enough.
that audio stripping idea doesnt seem like a terrible idea, gonna see if i can figure out how to do this (im guessing avisynth?)

edit: okay, so i tried something. in the projectname_HQ i added "changefps(29.97)" and let it encode (using anri). this didnt help, the audio is still desynced. (yes, i encoded HQ and yes the framerate did change because its different [according to mediainfo] without the changefps and with it.)

edit2: so i tried recording some with virtualdub (just virtualdub), and well the audio is synced, but its disorted out of this world. at some points it sounds like... i cant even explain it. i think my dazzle is just a piece of shit and that i got unlucky with it, or something else.

edit3: for curiosity, i installed the dazzle into my xp x64 vm, and for some reason it worked surprisingly good. i cant really test to record anything because of the vm performance, but when i use amarec in the host os (win7 x64), i cant use 720x480 because it drops frames and bobs alot. it doesnt do it in the vm. and this is confusing me because i thought the 720x480 issue i had is because of my usb ports... might try to install xp x64 as my main os and try how it works.

edit4: okay well, installed xp x64 as my main OS, and very well, 720x480 works, but the audio is still desynced... well that was an well spent afternoon t.t
